Hey guys!

My brother and I bought this cruiser back in July and just haven't had the time to do anything with it. With some upcoming house repairs the money would be nice and we'd like to pass this on to someone who can use it and appreciate it. Here are the specs:

1978 Toyota FJ40
-2F 4.2L I6 - 85k original miles
-4 Speed manual transmission - clean title
-5.29 gears, locked front & rear
-40" tires
-Longfield axles in front
-Warn manual locking hubs
-Weber carburetor
-New spark plugs, clutch slave cylinder, starter & battery
-3 core aluminum radiator & mechanical fan
-Factory power steering
-Flipped bezel :)

It does run and drive but needs a couple things:

-Cut & turn on the front axle to improve caster angles (if kept on 40" tires)
-Fuel gauge does not work
-Wiring in the rear is a little hokey (may fix this prior to sale)
-TC leaks a little
-Knuckles need to be rebuilt
-Rear brakes need new drums/or converted t/disc

This rig does come with some spare parts that I'm willing to include in the sale including brake parts, factory roll bar, middle console & some other odds and ends.

I do also have the stock seats with headrests. I will include these in the sale with the cruiser or will sell separately for $500. They are in repairable condition and the headrests are in fantastic condition.

For the most part, everything works. The rear of the tub has been cut out and a custom tub was built in it's place. Our plan with this was to wheel it as is and then put a new half tub in and restore. We haven't even had the time to wheel it that much and we just can't let it sit there and not be used. I think it would be a great candidate for a resto. Just cut the cage off, (rear half of body would go with it), remove the fenders and ditch the 40's. Put in some new 3rd members and a new rear tub and it would look pretty good.

No rust on frame or in front half of tub.

It runs exceptionally well and has always started up.

Mud price is $5,000. I would be more than happy to assist with shipping this wherever.

I will be taking some more pictures when I get the chance.

PM me with any questions.

Thanks!

Bump! Anyone want to start their New year off with a new rig?

Price drop - $5,000 firm.

Needs a couple things - rear brakes need to be gone through & steering would really benefit from a steering ram.

Have my eyes on something else and this needs to go...
