My boys hung out with their ole Papa today... You cannot tell they love land cruisers 
Set up the boost gauge fittings on the intake ducting. Getting closer!!! I have to finish fabricating a turbo stay and install the engine management diagnositic plug then this ole girl is about ready for her first test drive

Alright... I'm a week later than I promised I would post a start up video but better late than never! Pulled it out of the shop for the first time tonight and here it is:
Nice.. hows the noise compared to the 3b's you have done, the qsb's are quieter at idle the 4.5 in a fj40 should flat get it..

These are rough numbers but for parts only here is what was spent:
4.5L engine - $7,400.00
NV4500 Transmission - $2300
Bell housing - $350 ish
Adapter ring Engine to Bell housing - $250
Transfer case adapter - $500
Turbo - $1400
Exhaust Manifold - $200
Exhaust system - $450
Radiator / fans / controller - $1200
Inter cooler - $650
drive lines - $500
Intake parts - $250
Power steering pump parts - $400
A/C pump and brackets - $500
Machine work - $350
Throttle pedal assembly - $100
Plus all the other minor bits and pieces and another $500 ish
That's about $17000.00 in parts only
Add to that if you want to add power steering, disc brakes, heating and air, steering column, re-locate fuel tank, electrical, gauges, and on and on and on... You could make these projects endless LOL... I have spent about 8-9 months total working on this cruiser to get it where it is today. A lot of the time went into just finding the right parts to make it all work....

Amazing work as always, the amount of hours to make it look that clean had to be unreal. People never seem to understand the time and energy that goes into doing something like this and making it work right.
Do you have pix of the crew cab chevy with the late model cummins you were doing somewhere? You would have finished a while ago...just wanted to see how it turned out.

Sadly my 1987 GMC Cummins project hasn't seen any love for a good year or more
All of my energy and focus has gone into this Cruiser but the GMC is not forgotten! Now that the cruiser is ready for a few months of daily drive testing I plan to put in a few hours on the GMC... Here is a link to my 1987 GMC Crew Cab Short Bed Cummins Project:

What a great project and quality workmanship put forth and as always. I really like the latest technology and parts that went into this project. Ya now you can have some time to move forward with the GMC. I have a project in the Hard Core Corner going on under Skips 40 to Hybird 45 take a look. Best

So... Almost had a broken dog leg when Paul's dog jumped out of the back of the cruiser and stuck her leg through one of the rear bumper hoops. Nothing happened thankfully but as a result inspired a little modification to the rear bumper...

NEW SHOES! I had sent off a nice set of stock steelies to be sand blasted and powder coated. They ended up finding their new home under Paul's Cruiser... I think they look EXCELLENT
