Hey everyone, I'm putting up my 1970 FJ40 for sale. I just don't drive it much and it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
It has a SBC 350 with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. It has a power steering conversion and also has disc brakes on all 4 corners. I had the exhaust redone last summer. When I got the cruiser it had a best top soft top on it and I really didn't care for it much. So, I rebuilt a hard top that I had from another project and put that on it. I also rebuilt both doors. It handles great and is a blast to drive. This is by no means a show truck. It's meant to be driven on light trails or to the doughnut shop if you will. It's going to need some work, and I just don't have the time to do it right now.
It will need:
Front and axle rebuild
Transfer case will need new seals at least
The rear main seal needs to be done
The only factory gauge that works is the fuel gauge. It does have aftermarket volt/temp/alt gauges as well as a tach.
The windshield wipers do work, but it needs new arms and blades.
There will be a full size spare (doesn't match) that'll come with it.
Also has a set of matching half doors.
I'm asking $12,000 obo
thanx,
Craig

It has an ugly RV vent on the roof...I know, I know but it was already there and the cost to fix/take it out wasn't outrageous.
There will be a full size spare (doesn't match) that'll come with it. The tire carrier that is on it now is shot, but it will hold jerry cans...lol.
I'm asking $16,500 obo
thanx,
