Looking for 5k or best offer
I purchased it off ebay but i will get better pictures when i it gets off the auto transport

I think $1500. I got him to come down to $1300 but I kept going through pictures and I couldn't get the math to come out with going to get it and how few parts I could use on my 68.what was the craigslist price?

From what I could tell from the picture and what I saw that was salvageable $600 would have been a fair offer.the final listed price was $1000, after is was listed many times. my offer was in the $600 range.
Are you referring to when he actually receives or the 5k price? The taped together hood was one of the best features. Toyotakillsajeep you are going to probably disappointed.
I think he is going to be disappointed when he gets it to Florida. I'd be disappointed in it if I paid shipping to get it from MT to FL and it showed up in all of its glory. This truck is really really rough. It has a few good parts but it isn't what I would call a restoration project. It has too few good parts to try to save. It would cost a more than it will ever be worth to restore. You'd spend 3 times what it will be worth when it is done to restore it properly. 3 times is probably an understatement, probably more like 10x if you were paying people to do it for you. I try to save a lot of Land Cruisers but there are some that just can't be saved, even by an irrational person who loves Land Cruisers. Are you referring to when he actually receives or the 5k price?
Well, it sounds like he paid $1000, had it shipped, and is asking for $5,000. If he gets anywhere close he will be more than doubling his money. 3 puppies, my point may have gotten lost in the type somewhere. Last offer was 1000, you had offered 600, I assumed the florida guy paid somewhere in between, but went with worst case scenario 1000. Plus transportation total approx 2500. He claims it's currently drivable "Before I do a full restoration I want to see if someone would like a nice daily pig to drive around down by me" but he also hasn't seen it yet. To me, there is no logic behind purchasing a vehicle, not having seen nor been able to evaluate, but to try to sell it for double what you paid. Facts may be facts, but for all anyone knows, it's the same guy from Montanta selling it in Florida. The facts, as you guys have laid out, is the vehicle is not a driver, and has limited if any use as parts car. Selling it for 5k, and indicating it's condition is drivable, etc, doesn't sound like the same vehicle you saw, and it just does'nt sound rightwhere did you get the $1000 figure? toyotakillsjeep hasn't said and my never say what he paid.
facts are that the guy selling it on ebay bought it sight unseen and had it transported halfway across the state, then realized what he bought and wanted out, after seeing it in person it was worth half what he paid.
now a guy in Florida buys it for unsure dollar amount and transports it across the country, maybe $1200-1800 as we are not a major market and shipping in or out of Montana always costs more. assume you need all new wheel cylinders, maybe master, maybe shoes still a single circuit brake system your into $600-700 in parts alone, having someone do the work, probably in the $1500 range just to be able to drive it.
toyotakillsjeep is using the description from the seller who only owned it for a few months and didn't do anything withit other than re-sell it.
someone who pays $5000 or even $4000 for this in this condition didn't deserve to have that much money in his hands anyway.
I also have ocean front property in Arizona if anyone is interested.
