Wow. You nailed it again.

Updates. Been enjoying summer but I still took a few steps forward.... and a few steps back with the stepper.

Trailered it to my buddies place to get it tuned and they got it running and driving pretty damn good. I got to drive it a few times and it freaking pulls now.

During the last test and tune run The driveshaft left the chat and took out a couple few things lol. We figure the u joint caps on the diff yolk end walked out due to the straps stretching. I had just done an oil change and one of the things I checked was the strap bolts while it was up on the lift which were tight and all looked well..

Gas tank has a nice dent, shock cover thing looks way cooler now, the floor has a small dent and, the biggie, the transmission output shaft bent while the shaft was whipping around.

It's back at my place now and we pulled the tranny out last night, its going to the very expensive shop tomorrow.

We were like a very unprofessional, beer drinking pit crew Thursday night and got everything ripped apart. Transmission is at my trans guys shop and the good news is he's got a spare to steal parts from so thats something.

Tranny should be back this week sometime and the Summit orders should start trickling in... Once everything is back together I can remeasure for a driveshaft and hopefully get to rip the truck around a bit before the end of the season.

"Stay Tuned" - Love that YT Channel. You need more stickers, is what I'm taking away from this thread...
Im always open to donations! Let's hope Reid racing, Moroso, and Strange aren't cheap with their stickers...lol.

Stay Tuned is one of my favorite channels for sure.

May as well get some stuff done while I'm waiting on parts. Notched the trans x member for the lower than anticipated exhaust while it was out. Used a piece of a 40 series rear bumpetette as filler for good measure.. lol

And then I looked outside and the first summit box was there. Now I have a Strange chromoly 8.5" 1350 pinion yolk, Moroso girdles, a new nut and a DIY driveshaft hoop.

Can anyone here tell me what the yolk side of the pinion seal is called? I keep getting the seal that presses into the differential snout when I search..

Looks like its sacrificial and slips over the end of the yolk like a speedy sleeve and wears before the yolk... shaft? The steel shield and seal look to be part of it.

Thanks in advance!

Might not need that seal, looks like the new seal that presses into the differential has a smaller inside diameter and fits the new yolk perfectly (and the old yolk without that wierd seal/sleeve). As long as it fits the diff I should be okay..
