Not much progress yesterday, people were stopping by here and there.

I got the gas pedal out of the truck then rooted around the old spaghetti box to find the computer, afm, and robot pedal. Kinda dissappinted that the star trek pedal is the full on Rubbermaid version instead of the steel one that I got with the 5.3 in the 40...

Bunch of crap came in for the proposed under the bed battery relocation today. I also grabbed a torque converter lid for the 4l80.

Saw a cool lwb stepper in my travels.

One of my old bosses, The Big Fin, that retired ... 15 years ago? daily drove a light blue long bed stepside for the longest time. I wish I had paid more attention back then. I called to see if he still had it when I first got mine but he sold it.

Looks pretty killer as yard art for sure. He had a suburban of the same vintage in the yard as well but I didnt wanna go crazy taking more pictures. Left the dude my number, he said he'd check his door stash for me (I'm looking for a driver's door). Gonna ask what the story is with the stepper if he calls.

The Octane Amazon special headlights I have on the truck now are truly terrible lol. Even with the silverstar? bulbs I put in to replace the crappy bulbs they came with.

Sooo.. I scored a set of trucklite led headlights like the ones on the 40 on ebay for a killer deal today! Had to tell someone...

Already have the supplies from Laminex to R. Kelly them when they show up.

Took more crap apart yesterday. Gas filler box got taken out and all the hardware holding the bed floor has been removed. Just waiting for someone to show up to help me get the floor out and stashed in the loft.

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit more as well.

Got the bed floor and tailgate out and stashed upstairs then I trimmed up the ds inner fender so it looks a little less hacked.

I also stripped and painted the oe spindles and torque converter cover. So glad to have the murder room in the loft, the orange cloud of dust in there was so damn thick yesterday when I wire wheeled the spindles lol.

Delivery person probably hates me, these mofos are heavy lol.

Getting rid of the 2" drop spindles and going with 2" drop lower control arms that have the geometry corrected for a 4" overall drop.
