Titled as a 1976
Hardtop sides and fiberglass topper are solid and without known issues.

Driver and passenger floors have been replaced with steel plates
Rear bed floor is original and solid
Rockers (under doors) have been patched, and riveted, and bondo, etc....:(
Rear sill has been replaced with a piece of angle iron
Rear wheel wells have been cut
Lots of bondo on the back corners but metal under the bondo. I think they just filled in deep dents.

Barn door hinges not included

Have you considered running a no reserve auction on eBay to at least get them moved. That would be a shame for them to get crushed.
That’s what I would do if they were mine & I was in your moving situation. Just an idea. Best of luck

Unfortunately I only have a couple days left. If someone would buy it I could move it to a temp indoor storage area until they come and get it

How much for both? Interested
$4,000 for the pair. I can store for a couple months at a different location with payment half now and the other half at pick up.

I'm in Madison, WI and have been "stalking" the FJ40 market on this site and others. I know enough to hopefully stay out of trouble. Someone walk me through what would need to happen to get one of these two looking and running good. I can't do the work myself. I don't have the time or knowledge/experience, but can pay someone to do the work over time. I don't have a timeline, so I can have it done a bit at a time. I don't care about having an original engine or interior. I'd like it to run smoother/better/faster/quieter than what an original would. I don't want it to look like a rust bucket. I'd want the exterior to look good. It doesn't have to look like something that came from The FJ Company, but not a piece of junk. I'd use it to run around, run errands, go to the cabin/lake, maybe throw a dog box in the back and use it to coonhunt out of sometimes. It wouldn't just sit in a garage. So...what would it take? Put a 350 in it? Cleanup the frame and fix the body, repaint... Fix up the interior. I don't care if it's a shop that specializes in FJ's. A good, local place is probably where it'd go. What kind of cost do you think I'd be looking at? I know that's a question with a wide range of possible answers, but give me some "shoot from the hip" thoughts for a middle of the road cost. (And no smart aleck comments, please. I'm on here to learn as much as I can and perhaps we can save one or both of these from getting crushed.)

Hmm.. did you own this when it was sitting here?

I'm confused on the price, is it 1500 or 4000? EDIT: sorry I had to expand a few quotes to see everything.

Same rig but no clue where or when that picture was taken. It was being sold as part of an estate after the death of a PO. That estate was where my friend bought it. I bought it from him. $4000 is for both trucks. $1500 is for the blue one.

The blue one was driving before I pulled the engine, trans, & transfer case. The other one has the drivetrain but motor seems stuck, but I never tried to start it because it's missing the carb. It has a new alternator, fuel pump, and voltage regulator so someone was working on it.
As far as looking good, we'll that's something only the new owner can decide. Maybe that's you.

Thanks. That was from April 2020, in Racine. It was in that alley for some time. Was curious.

I bought it in Racine in 2020 but that picture of the grassy area does not look familiar.

Here is a picture of the sale from Illinois that listed it as a 67 Toyota Jeep 🤔
