A few older pics of the interior... I figured since I have them. Of course this is before it was totally done but you all will get the idea.

Sorry to hear your selling. You know you'll regret it later, but you gotta do what you gotta do...

Yeah I know I will but the cruiser is my toy and unfortunately toys go first... :meh:

I will get them tomorrow, sorry guys its been a crazy week.

more updated pics...

The first pics are of the swing out bumper that was just completed last week. It hasn't even been painted yet... this week for sure.

The interior only lacks the headliner to be completed and the push on trim for the doors, which come in on Tuesday.

Its not super clean, the roads are melting here and it is getting pretty nasty around but it cleans up really nice.

The first pic is of the overhead console I built of 18 gauge steel. It is super nice i just need to install visors. Also there is power up there as i had planned on installing my cb radio in the middle.

Also if there are any questions feel free to ask. This truck is solid. No squeaks or rattles at all... because I am easily annoyed by noises :hillbilly:

bumpity bump...

I'll get a pick of the cargo area as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for the Bump! If i still have it let me know. Love meeting cruiser folk.

I know i know. Looks like at the moment I will be holding on to it. If I don't get any other interest in the next few weeks I am gonna keep it. There is a job that may come through that pays more and if I get it then the cruiser stays! Woot

Carmon, that's Good news. Hope it all works out. Paul

Ok everybody. The 55 is for sale for real this time. I can't change my mind. I need to let her go. I am lowering the price to 6000 to make it a better deal. I want this to go to a good home. I will post some updated pics on Friday. If you have any questions let me know. I may be interested in a trade for a starter 40 or an 80 series. If anyone has any questions feel free to pm me and I will get back with you asap.

Here is my build thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-pig-preservation-society/269233-newb-pictures-questions-1.html

Here is the pig of the month https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-pig-preservation-society/388981-montana-ironpig-build-thread.html

Just a heads up to everyone out there. This is the early 69 model. Manufacture date was June of 68. That makes her super early which means it has the apron turn signals, really cool steering wheel, and the metal is much better than later pigs . I had to do some repair as you will see but nothing compared to most pigs. It also has the rear seat latching system that was only available for a couple months.

How does she handle at speed around 65mph or so? Also, have any other interior shots of it? Pretty interested, it just might be the distance that will keep me from picking this up. Any play in the steering? Nice work on building this to what it is. Does the heat work? Also, do you think she could do some distance drives without any issues?

She drives well at 65 but I rarely go over 70 with her. I had her to 80 once but it was too fast for the old f engine for sure. Its a solid cruiser, many of my cruiser buddies always point that out. No doubt with different gearing you could drive it as fast as you want with no worries at all.

Steering is great. I used a 3 bolt scout setup and it steers straight and true. The box leaked up until last week when it was rebuilt. Other than that it was one of the best upgrades I've done on this thing.

As goes long drives. I know it can handle long drives as I have taken it for highway trips for hours at a time, now going to the east coast might be asking a lot. If you were watching all the fluids and temp I don't see why not. If I had to I would try it but I can't/won't say it definitely will.

Oh yeah heat works well! I actually installed a 60 rear heater under the buckets. The only thing that is lacking are lines to it. The front always roast me in the winter.

I will get some interior shots tomorrow. I have the day off and if the sun decides to come out I should be able to get some good ones.

If anyone has any other questions just throw them out at me. Thanks guys!

Original 3 speed, which works great. I wouldn't have any doubt it would make it to boise.
