I just picked this somewhat clean old hunting truck. 1967 FJ45 LPB. Original paint was light blue. Still runs and has original F engine. I have looked for a clean FJ45 LPB for about five years. This one was too perfect.
I am going back to OEM (on items that I can find) with this truck as it is rust free (surface rust yes but no rot anywhere) I might go OME lift with tall skinnies but I am staying stock axles, drivetrain, paint seats, interior etc. Hard top is in the bed.
CONS: It has the red neck camo over blue. Missing headache rack (hello Charles Wirrell). Column shift moved to floor shift. Damaged right fender. Needs complete drivetrain overhaul. Needs a complete body restoration but no rust repair. I am going to take apart the body piece by piece this winter and have it blasted and redone in the factory color. The bed needs new latches and one side bed hook.
PROS: Same owner since 1983 in CA. Runs. Pretty much original. Not rusty.
It needs the following parts if you have them and wish to sell: better steering wheel with column shift, OEM aircleaner, headache rack, mirrors, front turn signals, hardtop lock down tabs and ?
