@JackA runs discs with the stock manual booster.

I had them in Patina for a while with a NonABS 80 series master and they were Ok. I cut my firewall and added a booster to it. Something I plan to avoid with the Goat.

I’ve adjusted my drums all the way out and the fronts are still barely doing anything.

I’d rather spend the money on a disc front axle than any more on drums.

Rears I don’t care about. They work now but do so little when front discs are added that they just need to not leak

My brakes suck bad. About to start building a disc brake axle.
Curious my drum brakes work fine. Even without a brake booster.
In Germany all cars older than 3 years must do a technical inspection all 2 years and they check everything special the breaks.
Vehicle Inspection
"From vintage cars to penalty marks to fine particle emissions stickers – in Germany and many countries around the world, TÜV Rheinland ensures that vehicles are tested by qualified experts and safe for travel. We conduct main inspections and environmental impact inspections and assess all types of motor vehicles – from two-wheelers to cars and trailers, right up to heavy goods vehicles."

Always remember you drive a vintage car/truck. If you want to brake like a new one..
...buy a new one.:)
Cheers Peter

.. some guys & gals drive much older cars & trucks completely stock.... no booster no disks.

Drums are fine. Mine need new drums. The pads and pistons are new but I can’t adjust them enough to make them contact before the rears lock up.

I’m sure I could find some in my pile that are thicker and could salvage the drums.

Seems to have done well. Looks awesome. I used a sponge/scotchbrite and straight scotchbrite and I liked the former the best.

I don’t think mine would have been so noticable without the abrasive pad.

Got the clutch working. Rebuilt the master and slave and put a new soft line on it. Works great, no leaks so far. Surprising, they were in pretty good shape. Next will be brake mastet rebuild.
