No way that's a $25k rig. Just the missing original top makes it not really an "unmolested survivor". I've got a 68 FST for sale now for a friend that admittedly isn't totally stock and it's missing some of the original parts. But it's got fresh paint, no rust, a TBI conversion that makes it incredibly reliable, new tires, everything works pretty much except the fuel gauge, brand new soft top, 74k miles, and It's failed to meet an under 10K reserve on ebay 4 times now. The only offers I've received via mud are honestly ridiculously insulting. I gave up and figured if I don't buy it myself before spring it might make it's reserve then. Quite honestly if I can make the numbers work I will buy it myself. I would love another 40 in the fleet and it looks great in the garage next to my Tacoma.

Not only is it a kayline top, it doesnt have the factory bows!! 6 k on ebay is about market value. The market is not what it was a year ago, things have cooled off. 100k for any cruiser is just crazy and its driven by the rich, not by enthusiest who are passionate. People see an fj40 sell for big bucks and all of sudden there fj40 has got to be worth at least half! Then the market gets flooded with all these overpriced rigs that never sell! Look at completed listing on ebay and you will see 80% of vehicles are unsold. Glws, in a few hours you will see what its worth!

I think this same guy was trying to get 4K out of his parts truck a few months ago claiming one could part out and make 6k from it. No title, transmission, transfer case, master, etc. and the engine was junk too.

...too bad he didn't do a no reserve on it. I bet it is still double what he paid for it. But, he's not trying to make a fortune off of it. BS! :flipoff2:

a few of you were too kind, only went to 7K on Ebay:smokin:
