The oil, temp and fuel all failed at the sametime. I dont see any fuses for the gauges. Any ideas? can the newer 1975 work by using the newer sending units. Anyone have any ideas.

I don't have a clue about 66. But later stuff had a fuse in the block for instruments (you should check every fuse in your block, inspect/clean the clips). Test the fuse, old ones can look good, but are actually bad. In later rigs the ammeter was the source for the 7 V power to like the fuel gauge and perhaps others. Who know what mods were done to the wiring, perhaps someone added an in-line fuse.

Pretty sure I got this EWD from coolerman's site. I traced the circuit in blue

Don’t just go by if it looks blown or not… actually pull it out … sometimes the glass fuses will separate at an end

If the fuse tests good check the block … may need to do a bit of sanding/cleaning for better contact

Disconnect the battery ground terminal first. 30 cal bore brush works great on fuse holder clips. A light coat of dielectric grease via a q-tip helps prevent future corrosion.
