Those of you that know me know we moved to the Tahoe area a few years ago from Phoenix, but I haven't been able to find room for any of my cruiser projects. They've all been kept in a garage in Phoenix. I've come to realize I won't finish them and frankly I'm enjoying life with my kids too much right now anyway, so as I posted my one remaining 25 earlier this week I am listing this rare 1963 FJ45LV for sale here. According to the LV List there are less than 10 1963 LV's in the US. Probably more than that hiding somewhere but they're rare as it was the first year they were imported. The 63's have a few goodies that the other LV's didn't have, my favorite is the cowl vent for fresh air.

This LV comes complete, if you want it that way except for the 3sp transmission which should be easy to source. I have pieced together all of the rarities to complete it over the past few years while I've been collecting parts for the 28. I prefer to sell it all as a complete "kit", but if you just wanted the truck I would sell that separately too as all the rare goodies would be pretty easy to find buyers for. I'll be posting this and the 25 on some other sites soon if they don't sell on mud.

Drivetrain 63 F135. The engine is out, has been painted and ready to be re-mounted. Spins freely, and I have a gasket kit for it if you feel you'd like to go further with it. As mentioned you’d still need to source the 3sp transmission. I can probably help, not too rare. I have an SD40 big window carb for it as well, with the blue plate.

Original (very hard to find) seats are included, and I have lots of new switches etc I can include too. Almost all of the original door hardware is there as well, which would be impossible to source otherwise. I bought what I think was the last LV upholstery kit that SOR had a few years ago that can come with the truck too. Found a set of the Gifu mud flaps as well.

I even bought the original LV-specific clamshell heater kit when it came available recently since I felt like it belonged with this truck - the cowl vent is already there.

Found some NOS tail lamps at great expense a few years ago to go with the truck too.

Body - this is an AZ truck so there's really no rust, which is amazing for an LV. Even inside the rear quarters where they always get crusty is solid. It needs a little body work where it was dinged up a bit in the drivers side rear quarter but I have already a patch panel for that spot and it just needs to be welded in. The tailgate has been repaired and primed already as well (also not pictured). Rear fenders were trimmed at some point for bigger tires, some metal will need to be added there. It has fairly new tires on it too already.

I also have an original early tool roll, jacks, PTO, winch, etc I can sell with the truck to interested buyers. There really should not be anything you need to source to finish this up if you want it all.

If you just want the truck with all that was there when I bought it (without all the parts collected for it), $26k. If you want the tail lamps, heater kit, upholstery kit, tools, and all the other parts I've collected to go with it we can discuss that as well, but none of that came cheap. I have more photos I can send interested buyers the ones attached aren't the most current they don't show the work on the rear but I will try to go back to Phoenix soon to get some taken. Ideally for any buyer I would meet you in Phoenix to go through parts and make sure you have everything you need to finish this rare truck. PM me if interested.

Thinning the herd! I get it Nathan. I probably should do some thinning too. Hope it goes to good home!
Good luck with the sale!
Thank you! Time to be realistic about what life has in store for me. Hope this finds a good home I was on the hunt for a 63 for at least a decade before I finally found this one.

I did, have not had time to post them on here yet we are in the middle of a big snowstorm here in Tahoe and my internet is on the fritz (posting via 1 bar of cellular now). It will go live on eBay Sunday though, I already put that ad together and scheduled it. The more I dug into it the more amazed I was at how solid the metal is and complete all the parts are. Has to be the most solid 63 out there ( I believe there are less than 10 of them?). If you’re interested feel free to PM me I would really like someone on mud to jump on it.
Did you make it to Phoenix to get some more pictures

Was sitting in the same storm on the way to Kings Beach! Hit 267 and then they closed it at Northstar! Had to turn around and go all the way around on 89! 4 hour drive turned to 7.5 hours! Merry Christmas Nathan!

Yikes sorry about that, but we are glad to finally have snow! Long day of snow clearing for me I just stayed home. Merry Christmas!!

Here’s the eBay ad. It’s more apart than it was before but has to be the best 63 LV restoration candidate there is. Hope she finds a good home.
