Hello daniel.watters,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/544543-clusters-gauges-odo-meters-13.html this link addressed my black faced speedo plate. BJ40GREEN appears to be the expert on clusters. I can only say that my cruiser sat in a barn from 1968 to 2012 with teeth busted off the flywheel and a broken column shifter until I purchased it and fixed it. The odom was working perfectly. The cluster Oil light and Charge light with silver trim and green center high beam indicator were all intact and correct for 1962. The cluster did NOT appear to have been messed with at all. BJ40GREEN called it a '' puzzle ''. I have to agree. When restoring the cruiser I just decided to leave everything alone, clean it all up and put it back in there since it came with the cruiser. Did Toyota use a BLACK speedo face on my 1962? Is that possible? The PO did not change it. He bought the cruiser in 1965 from the original owner. So,,,,,,,,,,,go figure. Thanks for the nice comments you guys. Almost finished.

So,,,,,,,,who knows.
That ashtray is so cool! Was that a common gift? (BTW spare wheel is on the wrong side). Did you find that in your cruiser? The old Tool Bags are very cool. Also, not sure if all the U.S. Toyota Dealerships were handing out ashtrays when you bought a Land Cruiser ( made in Japan written on the back ) but a dealership in Carson City, Nevada was back in 1963.
