Great video. What a work of art. Hope mine turns out half as good ... in 20 years, after I find a dang fan shroud ... ahahah. Looks great man !

HuntFish,,,,,,,,,,,,,,LOL. Boy, do I understand what you mean. Funny. You will find one. I will keep my eyes open for one. Thanks for the nice comment. Am going to post a color video up there in a few days.

Stunning... Great job!

I went ahead and ordered a Rear Cargo Mat from Specter. Cut it to fit and it looks great and also covers up the dimples in the cargo area...

Dave, Keep an eye out for any condensation/moisture that may appear under the mat. I experienced some surface rusting from what I believe was condensation build up under the mat. I switched to a Cool Cruisers mat that was thicker and has thousands of little nobs on the bottom that keep a little airspace between the mat and steel. ( this was 7-8 years ago and your SOR mat may have the same knobs now, but I thought id mention it).

Again, beautiful work.

She is just a pretty little thing, no matter what angle you look at her from!!

Cool videos Dave! Love them!!:cheers::cheers:

For Sale ???

OK FJFJFJ - hope it's ok to post this one. Saw your FJ40 on eBay as I was looking for 1962 parts. Wow ... can't believe you're selling it !!! You must have another project lined up? If not - I would remind you that you're more than welcome to live vicariously through me and my 1962 rebuild ... ahahhaha - it's turning out to be a doozie.

Everyone will recall the late great Mr. Toyoda's famous words: ".. it takes a village to rebuild a '62... "

Or something like that. :D

Ps: I pick up my period correct F135 motor, tranny & transfer case today. Can't wait to send it off for full rebuild.

Hello you guys,,,,,,,,,I had mentioned awhile back that I would not be able to afford to keep the cruiser. If I do keep her I will never be able to do another cruiser project again as money will not be available. I was somehow hoping this might NOT be the case but,,,,,no go. Pretty sad. I am just hoping to find it a good home and hopefully whoever buys it will have the time, energy and money to show it to cruiser heads once in awhile.
KY Longhunter,,,,,,,,,Really appreciate you doing that man. Thanks. Gotta tell you it is sad to spend so much time, money and energy on a restore and then have to sell it. I have never done such an intense restore before so I really did not know what to expect. You do get attached. Anyway, thanks for your assist.
HuntFish,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So funny: " It takes a village to rebuild a 62 ". Now I will watch you and your village build yours man.

It's hard to believe there is a guy in my hometown of this caliber, but I've personally seen some of his "collection." Your 62 would look very comfortable in his stable.

Here is a link to his website: http://www.premierexotics.com/

I also thought you should hit up every Toyota Dealer on the West Coast. Somebody would love to have your 62 in their showroom.

Anyway, I will quit babbling GLWS !!!

KY Longhunter,,,,,,,,Thanks for the link and I like the idea of contacting every Toyota Dealership. Will begin doing that today.

Cruiser

Ky Longhunter,,,,,,,,,,,I think the cruiser will find a good home pretty soon. A home where the new owner will show it a lot. That has always been my goal and I may have found that. Thanks for the nice comment.

For those interested in what an all stock restored 1962 FJ40 will sell for I wanted to let you know that mine sold for $75,000.00 to a collector who WILL be showing it on a regular basis. It took about 10 days to sell it. Wish I could have kept it but having it shown at shows is the next best thing.
