Any reason to keep a power steering pump with 230k that leaks like crazy?

it took me 3 hours but did that job today with my boys. Holy cow I didn’t realize how loud mine had gotten!!!

Pumps on 100’s usually don’t fail often. Was it leaking?

From the reservoir to the pump was leaking. I just cleaned and replaced hoses, fittings and pump.
Pump was whining something awful. It was starved for fluid, over worked with the tires, and had 230k so I just figured I’d replace.

Will’s woopow stereo makes the alternator light come on so Rob told me about this place in Knoxville that makes pimp 200 amp units.

@USMC22 came up and made this swap not near as bad as I was making it.

New alternator 16.5-18.5 at idle. It’s a bad ass.

Also the stock belt fit with the smaller pulley.

Will is taking his truck off road this weekend. I ordered up some @sleeoffroad sliders for it last week. Bolt on. UPS temporarily lost them but they were found and I ran down to Pearl and grabbed them.

No one ships like Slee. What a bunch of pros

Will got home about 6:15 from work and by 7:00 these things were bolted on. Super easy. Move a couple brake lines out away from the Ubolts. Done.

@euclid stopped by to chat while we went off on them. Just enough room to pull the truck in and work on it U
