Are you 100% sure the heater hoses are routed correctly?
Would return coolant be coming into the radiator if the heater lines were wrong?

Prestone (and others) make a radiator flush. Kinda late now but you could drain and save your coolant, fill with water and flush, drive around for a week or so, rinse and repeat.

I ran this stuff according to the instructions and left in overnight.

Amazon.com: Zerex ZXC01 Super Radiator Flush - 22 oz.: Automotive

Didn't see anything but some white foam in the radiator. I should have ran it under load on the highway and I may have had better results.

Water that did drip out of driver side of block was clear. So the only debris I've seen is after putting in red and seeing some float over to the radiator cap hole. Not a lot but enough to notice a change from the other four drains.

Old green that came out was bright green with no signs of rust.

Maybe just try a longer soak (week or so like Bossman suggested), letting it go through several heating/cooling cycles. And/or maybe try a stronger solution?

I guess I'll run the red for a while and see what happens. It may do better in breaking crud up than the flush.
Checked back of heater core and it looks like hoses are routed correctly.
Do heater cores need burping at the hoses?

Fellows,

Anyone here own or have knowledge of this vehicle?

Thanks,
Justin

Before you start knocking out freeze plugs, completely remove the block drain and poke around in there with a coat hanger.

Cascade automatic dishwashing powder is what our motor pool uses for radiator flush. Stuff works great!

I thought about that. Wasn't 100% sure what lies on the other side.

Will drive it some more and then give it a try.

Tire update:

I have a little over 20k miles on my Toyo AT2 in 295.70.18 xtreme tread

Started life with 16.3/32nd (from toyo website I didn't stick)

I have done a 5 tire rotation 5 times in the 20k life. My driveway I don't think would be kind to tires do to low speed tight corner and damn near a level 2/3 trail hill non paved.

So far I get 5k miles per 32nd. I am happy with the even wear and performance and noise of this tire. I am sitting right about 12/32nds on all tires.

I don't have a light rig either...most of time have 30 to 70 gallons of fuel at all times.

I run them at about 35 psi I was running more but the ride was suffering above 40 psi.

I am like Nolen I tend to get tired of tires way before they run out but I will replace these in about 20k miles as that will be close to the end of the siping and still have a value and put fresh rubber on. I will more than likely go back to these but in a smaller size. 275.70.18
