check your fluid. if you start seeing clean fluid dripping out of boot then you will be looking at a rack unit.

I'd just seal the crack in the boot carefully with a little black silicone.
All 100's with a lift will eventually leak at this place. I used lucas rack and pinion seal leak and drove it a couple of more years. Don't worry about duct taping the boot. Take a deep breath.....LOL. I had to sell a Porsche and a 40 cuz I wanted stuff to be prefect and was too poor and lazy to fix the stuff.
I had an old CJ crawler that was more bondo and jbweld than metal!
I can only imagine what a 200 series cockpit looks like on an "overland" trip!

I don't follow the market but I woukd think an '06 with 101k would be worth $18,000 so if you go retail on the parts the price is good. I bet they are looking for $25,000

So I've been getting a dead or very weak battery on my 100 after it sits more than a week lately.
I was starting to think this huge ass Sears battery was crap like Tollesons was.
I ended up pulling the fuse on that 2 plug 12v live plug I put in the cargo area. Gave the battery a good trickle charge and then didn't drive it for 7 days.
Problem solved.
I guess that thing has some sort of inverter in it with the USB plugs that is constantly on. Most have a red light that do that but this cheapo from Amazon doesn't.
Lesson learned.
I'm really leaning toward a road trip up the Natchez Trace on Friday am about 7:30 am to go to Mardi Crawl if anyone wants to caravan.
