After coming up short with good 100 series car barrier options I've decided to create my own. Below is my initial design, minus the side handle attachments.
I'm going into prototyping and wanted to see if there's interest out there for something like this.

It will attach to the headrests, and the grab handles.

For those interested please let me know what price range you'd pay for something like this, what side handle orientation you have (3rd row), and any questions/concerns.

Currently looking to hit a $450 price point (all brackets, shelf compatible, and powder coated)

cool! my only comment after owning a few of these would be to try to make it mount to the grab handles only, and not the headrests.

Requiring me to "undo" something before I can flip the seat forward is enough of a pain that I end up just removing the barrier. I seem to want to move something long, or sleep in there, or whatever, as often as I need to contain a dog in back. just my $.02. hth!

Really appreciate the knowledge!
The plan is to connect it to the grab handles, just getting the barrier part created first so I know where the handles should line up. They'll look very similar to your speski rack. (I would buy a speski if they still made them)
I'll look into quick detach options, something I hadn't thought about!

Thanks to adobe I was able to print out the drawing in several sheets and then glue them to a cardboard sheet, giving me a close enough view or how it'll look. So far so good, some minor tweaks but overall fit well. Now onto the mounting brackets!

I thought about that option, but the only one I saw on the market required drilling holes, which i wasn't a a fan of.
i'm SO efficient in my digital book keeping that I can't find any documentation on this subj in my computer :bang: .

I am currently overseases, returning late may. can you dm early june as a reminder nudge to take some pictures?

Designed my initial design for the headrests mount.
It'll bolt, with 4x M6 hex heads bolts through the sandwich into the barrier which will have rivnuts.
The headrest mount is cut so you don't have to remove the headrests and make for easier installation.
Let me know if this makes sense, sometimes hard to explain what's happening with all these pieces.

Price breakdown:
I'm currently sitting at hitting my goal of $450 +/- $10, but only if I get 4 more orders (1 for me and 4 for backers)

That $450 will include packaging materials and shipping (HI/AK will be more for shipping)

I never made versions for the airbag trucks. I’m trying to remember but I had a couple different 100-series variants. Rear AC I think was a variable.

The headrest clamps will remove vibration that can occur at certain harmonics that vary from truck to truck from things like wheel balance. I ended up increasing my mounting bracket thickness to cure that.

@nakman did you still have that photo archived from the old website?

It looks like the airbags sit in the C pillar and cover the 2nd row passenger. Because the car barrier won't sit in parallel or in front of the C pillar it shouldn't effect it's operability, to my understanding.

The headrest clamps won't be mandatory, but yes should reduce any vibration and good it more strength for those wanting to attack things to it.

After checking my printed and cardboard copies last night against the car I had to go back to the drawing board. The side bracket holes weren't correct and the overall height of the barrier was off.
Just a lot of minor corrections to get what we have below.

Update:
Added another row of openings below the headrest bracket. The previous version sat nearly flush with the top of the seat which I didn't see as strong enough.
Measurements rechecked and adjusted.

My goal is to get it ready for prototyping this week.
