pcut -- loooks good. Which rear springs are you running? Can you give us ride height measurements (center of hup to fender)? I'd be interested to see what setting Slee used ...

And I am running 275/70R18s as others said because, one, I missyped the tire size in an erlier thread, and ,two, I could not find a 275/75R18 tire ...

As far as the gap, I specifically asked Christo about it when I picked it up and he said that was how it needed to be to deal with the flex.

I am sorry for any confusion caused by my typo. The Nittos are 275/70/18, not 275/75/18. The only 75 series tire I could find were not ones I was interested in.

Don't know exactly what the spring rate is- just that they are the Heavy Load 2.5". I'll call Christo later and ask.

Center of hub to wheel well is 21 1/4" front and 22" rear.

I know the tires may not be quite as aggressive as many on Mud, but after doing a lot of research, I made the compromises that I hope will work for me. I considered, in another thread, keeping the brand new Michelin Latitudes that were on it and buying some really aggressive tires on another set of rims but decided against that because I llike having more storage space after getting rid of the extra winter sets for the M5 and X5 and I didn't like the idea of driving long highway distances on a more aggressive tire- noise, handling etc. Even living in Utah, it can still be a long haul to get to where we want to be offroad.
Besides, it's going to be :princess: her daily driver- I get the Lexus. I know it's it's wrong on soooo many levels, but that's the deal. I can live with it as long as I am behind the wheel off the pavement.

That tells me what I wanted to know ... we are running the same suspension. Your rig is less stinky than mine and the real difference is the swing outs .... guess I gotta get on the phone.

My ride height is 20.5" in front, so it looks like I should break out the 32mm socket and breaker bar and do some adjusting (and get another alignment) ...

great truck hey pcut can you post some pics of the rear camera setup? did you get the extension??

hey no one gives you guys flack for not having mud flaps???? Here on the east coast and you would get pulled over in a heart beat.

I've been pulled over once for tires sticking out beyond the fenders here in CA, and I know we have mud flap laws here too, it's just that they don't care that much about it unless they're looking for an excuess TO pull over when you haven't done else wrong, or you're in one of those mall cruisers jacked higher than the top of the tires, then they'er more likely to get pulled over.
Generally the local peace officers are looking for moving infractions than fix-it tickets, unless you're a gang banger or into some destructive group like that.

mud flap laws??? Really? Only in Cali I guess.

nice rig but stance is a lil low for my taste.

Nice build pcut. Its good to see more '06 models getting modified. Did you remove the AHC System? I thought all '06 models had AHC until I read that elkhuntr bought one without it.

Thanks for your compliment- I would give the praise to Christo and gang since they made all the recommendations and did the work. Just as with my daughter, I'm just the wallet!
Yes- paid Christo to remove it before he started on the suspension install. Looked for a long time for one w/o AHC, but got a deal I couldn't pass up on this one.

love the truck!!

Found the build thread for your truck!
Looks good. Can you post some more pics of the Slee jerry can holder loaded with cans?
Does it wobble on washboard being mounted so high up on the ladder?
Do cans rattle around in it or can they be cinched down tight enough with the webbing strap?
Are you running metal NATO cans or plastic?
Thx!

Thanks for your compliment- as I have said before, Christo and his group are totally responsible for the design and construction. I completely followed their recommendations given my various criteria. I would ask Christo about the wobbling, but I don't see any wobbling when it isn't loaded. Christo posted a pic of the jerry can holder on my truck in the other thread you started about his change in design. I can post others if you want but I don't have any of it with the cans loaded and haven't used it yet for carrying cans so I really can't answer your questions. Sorry!
