Rebuilding my knuckles and one spot has some pitting. Searched and the go to seems to be primer, epoxy, and send it?

Currently rebuilding my 12h-t and had my camshaft inspected by a machine shop. They did mention pitting. But said it’s probably no concern. Just looking for opinions. Should I get a second opinion? Also thought about just buying a refurbished one.
