I just recently got one of my cruisers running after two months of down time. I replaced the sunroof track cables, and exhaust manifold gaskets. I was in no hurry to fix it because no one likes doing manifold gaskets. Either way I got it put back together and running again.
I noticed now...
I just replaced the alternator in my 77 FJ55 and now the light on my left instrument gauge is out. Any hints on changing these bulbs? My shop manual is a little vague.
Let me start by saying I did do a search and found some helpful stuff but none of it seems applicable to my situation :-).
I did the LED upgrade on my dash lights and along the way kept testing to make sure everything worked went on as it should. So of course as I'm getting everything buttoned...
Like many, my 97 Collectors Edition has a few dash lights out. I actually had it apart not long ago and addressed most with OEM bulbs from my local dealer(at about 7$ a bulb) and did 5 or so including the D drive light. Gotta take it apart again to fix heat/air back lighting and my O/D off...
