I had a little photo session with the Pig this weekend to celebrate finally getting it to DD status. There's still several things to do such as Heating and A/C and some interior and wiring issues but at least it travels down the road-- you ought to see the looks I get.
Thanks to everyone on this board for all your help whether you knew you were giving it or not.

Daily driver interior

Here are some shots of the interior and the door panels. I cut the door panels from moldable ABS plastic, spray painted them and stuck them on with body molding tape (Velcro didn't work). The seats and bracket are from Iron Pig-- thanks Lance.

Porterda,

Great looking pig!

Any pics of the "before" - now that we are seeing the "after"?

Brian

Thanks for sharing. The link to the 2nd one is wrong - here is the correct one: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=40097

I never saw that in the Tech Section, maybe I need to spend some more time there in addition to the 55 and 45 sections.

Bull - how about this being one of the first ROTW's? (Assuming Porerda is open to that).

Brian

no after pics? the pics in the progress threads look sweet

Ryan,
You're right but I think it will be more proportional when I get the winch and lights on there. Heting and A/C first though. Thanks.
Protection all around from Iron Pig-- I just need some stickers and I can charge Lance for billboard space.

Thanks Tucker, I appreciate someone covering up my technical shortcomings. Are you going to replace your 55?

wait a minute here, your telling us fellow pig farmers that we otta see the looks you get driving down the road??? something aint right with that, are you implying we dont drive our rigs ??:flipoff2:

looks real good mang, that bumper is pretty beefy, makes the pig look ornery.

Sharp 55

That is one fine lookin' pig. Wish mine looked that good!!!! Looks, eh? All 55's draw looks- hell, fe people knwo what the heck they're looking at!!!! You ought to try to make it to PA for the pig run t Rausch Creek August 19. Shmukster (Gary S)

That's a damn nice looking 55, you must've put a lot of work in the past year and more, it's certainly progressed a lot more than mine has.
I get a kick outta seeing the weird looks i get from people when driving my 55, love it :D

You guys are right, I wasn't implying anything-- I just hadn't experienced it (the looks I mean). We ought to starta poll to see how many times your piggie has been called something else when someone stops you at a traffic light to ask " What year is your (Range Rover)(Scout)(Jeep)(etc.)?"
Gary, I can't get to PA in August since I'll be getting ready to try a murder case in September but maybe next year.

I can't wait to get mine on the road to see the looks and get asked the stupid questions about what it is. I'm envious!

i'd lose on that one, only been assumed it was something else a couple times, you'd be surprised how many folks know, or are pretty sure its a landcruiser, just dont know which model. i also get alot of the home made contraption type Q's. like maybe its a couple different rigs i put together. then, there was this one guy who thought it looked alot like those wooden rigs built in africa, but he knew better.
