We got a call about doing a resto on a 1970 FJ 55. As usual we are a bit suspect until it shows up. Turns out to be just about a perfect FJ 55 with an owner who knew what he wanted and had a good idea what the work was worth. There were a few issues with it in general but overall it is the most rust free FJ 55 we hae ever seen. The rockers were a bit rough so we went to Lance at Iron Pig for his super FJ 55 rocker/sliders.

I was a bit unsure what we were gettin into until I recieved them. They are the s***! You basically cut off the entire rocker then weld in the new 3/16" think rockers and then the nerf bars. The fit was perfect. It did take a while to get them on correctly; about 24 hours of welding and fitting but worth every second of it. The truck is at the paint shop now and will return in a few weeks for a final assembly.

Dang Dearborn, show pictures of my truck to the whole damn world before I see the final job! I feel just like a new poppa--damn I'm proud

Just bragging here but did anyone notice how they even tacked on the little pieces of the wheel well to keep the original line? Make the sliders look like they came with the truck. If you read my posts, you'd think I did the work myself instead of only doing the work I could like sweeping up the shop.

you have a right to be proud...i'd love a pig like that
