N. Colorado/S. Wyoming Cruiser Club?

Alright, I think there is a critical mass out there to start a Cruiser Club for northern Colorado and southern Wyoming.

This idea started out in the 55 forum:

FJBen and I have managed to get out a few times for some runs this summer. It would be fun to form up a club and have some cool runs and events.

So far I have heard interest from FJBen (Greeley), Chalmic (Fort) and MiniPigg (Cheyenne). Razor? USMCruiser? ActionJackson? Who else would be down with this?

I'm in Ft. Collins and am currently a member of Rising Sun, but the drive to Denver is not always my cup of tea. Plus, it makes it hard to bring my 40 to meetings when I have to wind it up to 70 MPH for an hour to get there. I asked Rising Sun about starting a North chapter up here but there was little interest.

Obvious questions to answer:

-Who would like to get in on this?

-What to call the club?

-Where to meet?

-Should we be a TLCA chapter?

Greenpig on Pirate, aka Ridgerunner here.

We also have TruCruiser in Greeley, John @ Coyote Cruisers might be down for a Cruiser group...he run's with the Mountaineers a lot. There are a few other cruisers around that I know of I could bug them and see if they are down for it.


As for names? Hmmm...this is as bad as thinking of band names.

Ah, RidgeRunner! The force is strong in young master RidgeRunner. But he is only in Wyo in the summers?

Are you sure you don't want to be the "Third Member"? Heh heh... (minor aside, at CM '05, when we were helping a guy fix his busted pinion, we were talking about getting a new third member. Some ladies were there from CA, they got all excited and wanted to know what the third member was... :grinpimp: )

John @ Coyote said he would be up for hosting meetings at his place. That was a few month's back...

As for names, we have had the following come up so far:

Poudre Cruisers

WyCo Cruisers

NoCO Cruisers
 
NoCo= Nothern Colorado
WyCo= Wyoming/Colorado
NCSW= Norhern Colorado/Southern Wyoming

Now when I thought up the WyCO I thought it was a better choice from NoCo because it would make members from Wy feel like it was their club too (even though it is their club as well but this shows soming visual so they do feel included and not just a visitor.) Ofcourse if you flip WyCo it becomes hahaha
