- front passenger door rear glass bump stop and mount (normally the mount is welded into the door by the way it looks on my truck).
- one inside door pull for the '67.
- fuel filler nozzle (not the rubber hose, just the cap/plug) for a locking door model filler door.
- side mirrors
- rear reflectors
- window wiper arms and body pivots
- upper tailgate support arm, I've got one side but I'm not sure which side it is yet.

I have an older style LV vent window for the drivers side to trade for some of these parts.

Spedo cable and Bib lights (Amber not clear) are available at the dealer.

Seatbelts were available in '67

Shift boots might be available off an FJ40 or FJ60. I don't think a floor shifter was an option for an lv in '67 but I could be wrong.

I'll check on the other stuff.

Unless it was a really neat and careful Guatemalan grease monkey who cut the hole (and there are precious few of those) mine definitely was always a floor shift! It even has the shift patterns for both tranny and transfer on the glove box door decal.
I've got the bib lights in clear :) It's the lights that mount on the actual fender that were not the correct year (my truck had the post '75 square lights on it).
The shift boots look different than my '60 for sure and I don't have a '40 to compare to.

.
the shift pattern was always available on the gb door...it's the same on column shift as floor shift. should've been a column shift though. floor shift came around 73

btw, be sure to check the speedo cable you order...there is a clip in cable for most cruisers, but the early cruisers had on with a large threaded fitting...i'd take a pic for ya but i gave mine to root a couple days ago.

Assuming that the '73 date also applies to Central American vehicles how can one tell if it has been retrofitted to a floor shift or was originally a floor shift. Here in Guatemala it would not surprise me if someone has changed things around. I've seen the weirdest combinations of car parts rolling down the road.

In the end though, I'll likely go with a 4 speed anyways.

Any word on availability of the required parts?

on the shifter, doesn't column shift have a knob on the steering box where the linkage rotated that later boxes doesn't have?? also behind the steering wheel there is a little hole for the linkage.

I may have some parts for you in trade for 45 stuff, I'll look next weekend when I'm home. Paul

yep, it does...should be right on the top of the steering gear. the shift rod ran along the top of the steering column. there may also be a little banana shaped bracket unless they took it off.

I'll check out the steering box tomorrow. There's stuff at the top of the steering column but I always assuned that was part of the OEM turn signal switch that's not there any more.

It was always an option to order your 40 or 45 from the factory with a floorshifted 3speed. All the old parts books I have from 1965 show the 3speed floorshift as opt for that year, so yours well could have been ordered that way. It still would be interesting to note whether the clamp at the bottom of your steering column, just above the box, that keeps the column tube anchored on the box, has the recepticle for the column shift rod. The 72 FJ40s here did not.

Here's the steering box and the column. Let me know the consensus, floor shift from factory or retrofit?

I think all I have to offer is what Marc has already offered up, an air filter. I might have some other stuff, but as I am also hording parts for an lv project...

I have part of the turn signal switch, the part that clamps around the column.

What I need are some 45 lwb tail lights. Stout lights will work. I need the whole housing and lense if you can find some. My housings were/are rusted and beat. I'm using trailer lights now, but would like to get the right lights in there if I can.

Andover restraints has lift latch belts with sister hooks, this is as close as I can get to OE.

I have 60" with shoulder harness for the rear seats. Using the top hardware on the rear seatblet out of a jeep to cherokee to mount the rear shoulder strap.

Waiting on 90" to come in for the front, they carry 75 but I dont think those will be long enough.

The gas cap was just a rubber plug stuck in the end of a formed hose, I've seen three that were stock and they all have the same OE string keeping the plug from getting lost

All the lights I saw were smashed. They say that the lights are the same as the '40 series!?!

Bump, list revised!

I just picked up a 40 that came with a load of 45lv parts. All 4 doors, rear tailgate, axles, one spring with frame brackets, gas tank with skid plate, straps, and filler neck. Vehicle had been flipped on its lid so window frames are hammered or missing. Some glass, all door handles, window cranks, door pulls. etc. are there. Let me know if you need any of this.
