NICE.............

Is that a T-case style brake in the middle of that rubble?

Git It!

The Roundup is right around the corner!!!

GIT'ER'DONE

Roundup preparations are in full swing down here!!!!!! :flipoff2:  :bounce:

Lomax 4:1 kit for the t-case is shipping next week, twinsticks and the rebuild kit shipped this week. Still waiting for Novak to get off their dead useless ass and get their <bling> super short 32-spline rear output made....latest phone call said Jan 15....course, it was released in the rags Oct 2003 and hasnt been produced yet.

Tom Woods left me a voice mail and email this evening, gotta ring up tomorrow and discuss...believe Cruiser joints in the rear and 1310's in front (like I have now), small diameter front shaft, just gotta get new flanges on the t-case.

bolts for the flexplate (d'oh) and the fan/cooler for the tranny ordered tonite.

upper link plate and tabs are on the housing, just need to triple check angles prior to burnin 'em in hard...and see if my change for the leaf shackle will work or not.....

Tranny plan is clearanced for a driveshaft, linkage stuff for the AC cable is on.

beer is next....

I had to look twice at the birf to see what it was. It looked like you left one of your sex toys in the middle of the pile. :D

pics of the trans pan! I'm gonna do mine this weekend, I hope. I've spent way too much time on the 60.

We'll have to "race" soon. I'm interested to see how much slower a 700R4 with a 4:1 is than my TH400 with two 2:1s is.

Was that 700 good for anything other than a core? It had 200,000+ miles on it.

we replaced everything, it was a great core ;) ....parts list was:

overhaul kit, bushing kit with teflon pump, filter, borg warner band, washer kit, torrington bearing kit, input sprag borg warner, low sprag borg warner, governor gear kit, reverse drum new delco, beast sun gear shell, no yoyo pump ring kit, t.v. cable, 700-2-3 transgo shift kit, 5-pinion planetary gearset, accumulator housing/piston All but the last two items were from @orangefj45 (georg). Great prices, and he knows his autos. Local tranny shop did the labor, $250 for that.

All I did for the trans pan was take my 4-1/2" angle grinder with a sanding disc and grind off the lip until it was flush with the alum casting. Nothin fancy...real test will be when it's installed in the rig, see how the d-shaft will align up.

You rock when it comes to tech.

This should be awesome!

that looks like it outta work out really well. i dig the super short trans adapter! :D

keep the pics coming woody!

Funny thing about Novak, they were suppose to ship me a prototype shaft 3 yrs ago, I had cash for them to make me a run of 30 shafts off the bat with more then that later, on a shaft that they were already working on a little before i contacted them. Well 3 yrs later no word, no product, and no prototype for me. I do like the products over most other companies, and service/tech but custom type items and deals like that just dont seem to important.

also did i miss manual lockup to 1mph (lol), and converter specs

missed it last time, what did you end up deciding on for your rear axle... R.I.P., i liked the last setup using cruiser axles and Tcase etc... oh well, i'm sure this one will rock and roll, probably more of the latter :flipoff2:

rear axle is a centered mini/cruiser hybred....

convertor is a stock HD version, again thru georg....

the Sunray adapter kicks ass....and no crappy spud shaft to deal with, it replaces the rear output tranny shaft completely. One less oppportunity for slop in the system....

Noon update pending...... ;)

cool... i'm guessing mini axles, cruiser center? i think that's what you were discussing earlier...

you don't F%$# about, one minute it's hey this is my idea, and before a guy can even change his tyres, your cruiser is in pieces on the floor of the shop...

wish i was that productive

9:45am Friday....

not happy with the mounts for the shackles, but the balance is set and right.....looks like it's gonna get a cv shaft in the rear....
