Perhaps I should start a poll...which Pig to Fenderpatch?
The Black Pig sure could use some DS help, but it's minor compared to what the Blue Pig needs....
The Pickle Pig is not in the running for these patches.

Disclaimer: Pighead expressed, in another 55 thread, about how he would trade a custom-built exhaust tip to BobM for a pair of FENDER PATCHES...BobM apparently does not get jokes, for he sent me a Pair of his most excellent FENDER PATCHES even before I could paypal him for the estimated postage. To claim that this is a well thought out and pre-planned for project would be a lie. Please to allow Pighead some time to contemplate and plan out a reasonable response to this unexpected windfall. I am re-reading this thread to see how these pieces go together. Have not yet got to the part where BobM tells us how much these patches cost. I'm gonna write this off to 'Cruiser Karma or Xmas spirit, or both.
Part of the deal is that I send to BobM a Pighead Kustom exhaust tip just like Pighead runs. The other part is that I post the install (of the patches, not the exhaust tip). And pay postage.
So here I am posting, and drinking a pound of bad coffee just to get the can...
Our (NuclearLemon and Pigheads's) initial impression, a simultaneous outcry, upon seeing the patches, was "WOW". That has not diminished overnite.
Pighead will guarantee that the first word out of anybody else who opens a package from BobM will be similar.
Pighead will continue to offer only true and unbiased Pigformation to his Pig Brethren and Sistren. If this stuff sucks, you'll hear about it here first.

PIGHEAD, after viewing the bottom pic I decided to add another 3 inches to the patch for a total of almost 16 inches from bottom. Still looking for feedback from the install once you decide which PIG.

Thanks Bob.

Pablo, funny you mention that, its been on my mind. Either Aluminum or stainless. Its going to be a while.

Thanks Bob.

Twisted minds think alike...

MMMmmm...i like that! Not in the position to buy any time soon (probably a year) but i would love the option for sure.

Similar to my timeframe, plus peace-of-mind to know the option is out there!
How cool would it be to whip up to the pump and suck down 50 gallons of $4/gal fuel??? :censor: :D

you know, that's a good question. more importantly, when are you going to start production on the all alloy pig?:p are you able to bend/roll .120 wall at lengths of 6-7'? I am wanting to do a bed for my truck somewhat like the 75-79 series but with the body contour of the pigs door from where the bottom roll to the mid section vertices is-downward. and then cap it off with an inverted G rail for the lip/tie downs rail...

actually, a good thick aluminum by the time you install baffles and everything still won't be cheap to ship.

Lambcrusher, funny you said that I was just talking about an Aluminum PIG the other day. Its not happening soon. We can bend .120 aluminum up to 8 to 10 feet. I need to get rear corners done before anything else, I am very close. So these other things are on hold for now but great ideas.

Thanks Bob.

what about sticks of flare material....something that matches the stock flare of the pig fenders, maybe with a minor bend to the stick, then it could be cut into patches, or notched and bent to replace a complete flare lip

No, a Stainless Steel Pig with gull-wing doors...

Is your PIG suffering from RRGS (Rotten roof gutter syndrome) Now we have a cure.

Thanks Bob.

Whoa! I think everyone is going to need some more detail on that!
Very cool Bob!
How long of a stick do you sell these in?
How do you make them bend where the roof slants in?
Awesome!

The "WOWS" just keep coming...
