SQOD Squad - Stupid Question Of the Day

So you’re telling me, in my 2011 LX570 I can be cruising down the road at speed and slap it in reverse without the transmission exploding and ejecting me out of my seat?

    2011 LX570 E-Brake Rotor Tightness

Well, turns out the clips for the rear pads are not all the same. If you don’t put them in the right spot they make a horrific noise as the rotor grinds agains them…

    2011 LX570 E-Brake Rotor Tightness

Alright so I just got done doing a brake job on my LX. There is a little wheel inside the rotor on the rear that has to be adjusted for the e-brake. Anyone know off hand how loose or tight that needs to be?

Can we get a YouTube video of you gunning down Jeep’s off-roading? There is so much potential here

    Remove Bling from LX570.. Dechrome

You unfortunately have to completely remove the fog light to access the clips on the bezels. There are 3 clips that snap them into place. I found it easiest to use a small screwdriver to pull the middle part of the clip down. I don’t have any good pictures of the back side of the fog to show...

Can we really just move on and ignore the fact of this 200 having a fully built gun turret mount inside?

    Remove Bling from LX570.. Dechrome

Killer turnout man! Looking great! I had a feeling those door handles wouldn’t hold up great. I dropped of the chrome bezels where the fog light’s are housed yesterday for paint. Once those are done I’ll be 100% aside from the door handles. Slowly but surely.

    LX 570 - SS3 Fog Lights (w install)

Also… -A headlamp is really helpful. -There are two small mud flaps on the front of the wheel well. I finally found that rub from my 33” setup. Removed those. -There are two round chrome bezel’s that I removed and am having paint matched. Only way to remove them is to have the fog light...

    LX 570 - SS3 Fog Lights (w install)

@pound excellent write up man. I just installed these exact fog lights on my 2011 LX570 and your write up was spot on for my install. I just wanted to say thank you. Would’ve taken me 30-60 minutes longer to install with no instructions on getting the fender liner apart. Also, when I did the...

White 200 owners: what are you doing with your chrome?

If you’re objective is to remove the belt trim without damaging it, in an effort to reinstall, it’s very hard to remove. My phrasing was misinterpreted there.

White 200 owners: what are you doing with your chrome?

@Mdog97 welcome to the wonderful world of chrome deletion. At this point I almost feel like a veteran with this nonsense. A few points to address here on what you specifically mentioned to me on the belt molding. -Unfortunately, our situations are a little different. I have a 2011 LX570...

    Remove Bling from LX570.. Dechrome

Thanks man! If you don’t mind spending the money I think it’s totally worth it. I enjoy looking at my LX so much more now. I do not advise trying to do the work yourself. Just pay a pro. I did all the disassembly and prep work so the painter didn’t have to mess with any of that. They were...

    Remove Bling from LX570.. Dechrome

Well, the results are in. And unfortunately I cannot take credit for the paint work. After many tiresome hours of prepping, painting, wet sanding, reprepping, repainting, etc. I decided to take my parts to a professional with the right tools for the job. The aerosol cans were simply just...
