    Permanent TPMS Delete DIY w/ Pics - 06/07 LC/LX470

I just did this with the slight modification of adding a small switch. I'm not going to need tires for a while but wanted the light gone with the ability to easily switch it back if I decide to get new sensors with future tires. I just left the switch loose next to the ECU. Also, I grounded...

Thermostat housing pitted. Reuse or replace?

I'd be fine replacing with OEM but but would have to order and wait a few days. I'd like to get the truck back together. My NAPA has an aftermarket (Four Seasons) in stock. Is a part like this that much riskier to go aftermarket? No moving parts or electrical bits, Just a piece of aluminum. I'll...

Sunroof rubber seal - where does this go?

I opened my sunroof today for the first time in probably 10 years. When I did this piece of runner seal fell in my lap. It's about 3 feet long and I can't tell where it would go. It looks like it's made to press in a groove but I can't see where. Can anyone tell me?

Why does the 2UZ-FE have the "T" timing mark but not reference them in the FSM

abuck99, yeah, I've seen the threads and debates here over the years. It just seems that if the T marks were referenced somewhere by Toyota there wouldn't be this ambiguity and confusion. It's clearly got to be a significant timing position. Just so freaking weird it's not documented.

Why does the 2UZ-FE have the "T" timing mark but not reference them in the FSM

I've owned four vehicles with 2UZ engines and between them have replaced the timing belt several times. This weekend I helped a friend replace the TB/WP on his truck. He was most concerned with the cam crank timing aspect of it as I think most people who have never done it are. I've always...

    Aluminum Flatbed

Oh man. I did this in the first place because it was so much cheaper than putting a new stock bed on, painting, etc. $5k sure puts the two options closer. After sever years I'm still super happy with it. It's been extremely functional utility wise and gives the truck a much different look. I get...

    Aluminum Flatbed

No, I didn't have to do anything with the trailer hitch. It's just bolted to the frame in the stock location.

    Aluminum Flatbed

I just measured and it's 37 1/2 inches from the base of the bed to the top of the cab.

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

Look back at post #54 in this thread to see how I approached the block off plates.

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

It's been over 5 years since I put Hewitt-Tech's bypass module on my '06 LC. Absolutely no problems since. I put one on my Tundra about 4 years ago as well as a precautionary measure because the pump started sounding a bit louder. Just wanted to give a 5 plus year update on the Hewitt-Tech...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

I replaced the timing belt & wp on my '05 4.7 Tundra last weekend. Truck is rarely used and only has 84K miles. When I got it all back together I noticed the air pump was a little loud. I put a Hewitt-Tech PnP bypass on my '06 Land Cruiser almost 4 years ago after AIP failure. So I'm 0 for 2 on...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

I put one of Hewitt-Tech's Plug and Play kits on my '06 over two years ago. I've honestly forgotten about it. Been perfect and I'd highly recommend.

Water Pump & Timing Belt Price

Those Aisin kits are great. I just received one from RockAuto to do my 2UZ-FE Tundra. I've done this a few times and it's not terribly difficult just takes time. Anyone who can roll in and do it in 3.5 hours is an all-star. I think paying someone around $450 bucks labor is a great deal. I also...

    Advice after accident

Where are you meeting the adjuster? My neighbor owns a body shop and after I had an accident he had me meet the adjuster at his shop. They speak the same language and spent a lot of time going over my truck and "negotiating" the required hours for each item. I thought that benefited me a lot...
