    Thump, when releasing brake

on top of everything above, also rear control arms. Some have fixed their stop and go thump by changing rear control arms. But start with greasing slip yoke and ujoints since cheaper to do.

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

I agree. I may just clean the wire screws more with cleaner on black box side (abs module i believe) and fill up with good dielectric grease and when it all does go out, i will put in the brand new master full assembly. Will try to also take a peak with the borescope on the far booster unit side...

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write back! How hard would it be to change and replace the brake control wires out without removing the unit from the car? I see two philips screws on each end of wires. So hard to see down there. But if one can do it with some tools from the top and...

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Hi Paul, Wanted to say your posts for past two years or ownership have helped so much! Thanks! So have no brake master issue happening. But saw your post about the corroded wires! Please check my pictures attached, before and after cleaning with electric connector cleaner and wire brush. Didn't...

For Sale Las Vegas Nevada; Land Cruiser 100 series 2006 OEM Factory Brake Front and Rear set complete from 2006 LX 470

interesting.... ya i read online not compatible AFTER seeing part numbers were different. But maybe people are wrong. Either way for me going to not risk it and stick with part numbers for my own as that hasn't caused any issues yet. Ordered new calipers now as originals did 295,000 miles and...

For Sale Las Vegas Nevada; Land Cruiser 100 series 2006 OEM Factory Brake Front and Rear set complete from 2006 LX 470

different part numbers. 2002-2007 end in 90 for front calipers and mine end in 80. Mine are 4773060080 and 4775060080. 2002-2007 for even after market choices end up being different so there must be something different in front end of car, possibly when wheel sizes changed? Mine came with 16...

Blackstone Oil Report Repository - Share Your 2UZ Reports

Hmm I wonder if more frequent oil changes may help. 3k miles or 6 months whatever comes first. Plus 5w-30 maybe try? Also try Toyota oem air filter in case you got after market and maybe premium gas 91 or higher octane for several fill ups or so. More explanation below. I have a 1999 100 series...

Issue came back again 5 days later haha on my 1999 LX470 ...same scraping noise per video above. And when put in reverse and hit brake one time and then back to D and brake noise is all gone. Oh and i have no wobble in steering wheel, i take off my hands off wheel even when braking and car does...

Weird brake noise goes away if put in reverse & back to D and then brake.

Opened brakes up on the side where the issue intermittently comes (driver side front) as well as the passenger side (front). Toyota when they said it was pretty clean, that definitely wasn't true. Very dusty. But brake pads and rotors overall were pretty good (in that sense Toyota was right)...

Weird brake noise goes away if put in reverse & back to D and then brake.

Thanks but in January I put in all new hub assemblies, bolts, nuts, claws, flanges, and all new bearings also. All toyota original parts. No issue has come up since January. This is in the front, same place where this noise comes. So odd this noise comes up sometimes in two drives since last...

Weird brake noise goes away if put in reverse & back to D and then brake.

Have another mobile mechanic coming by and we will also open it all up and see if Toyota missed something. Another mechanic friend said that sometimes can be shim issue and issue pops up but when put in R and brake they have changed position a bit and again when put back into D. SO then issue...

Weird brake noise goes away if put in reverse & back to D and then brake.

Thank you for reply. Not original pads. Akebono but rotors Toyota original. Previous owner. I’d do oem only for pads but since these had great life left and haven’t caused any issue for two years figured I’d get full use out of them. I’ve put on maybe 6 k miles in 2 years and no noise ever...

Need help! Brake scraping noise that comes while driving and braking and the moment I put in reverse and back to D and drive and then brake again it’s gone again. Toyota and I are stumped. Video with sound attached is here: Had loud scraping noise out of no where while braking on Saturday...
