The torque is up for debate. I've seen my bearings get hot from torquing them to 25 ft-lb. As in, heat marks on the races. I've also seen this from others. The tighter the torque on the bearing means it's eating the bearing's preload. That doesn't sound like a good idea. Some people swear by...
