What part number did you get for a 1/2 shorter fan belt?

The reason for the gears blowing up Is because they are 8 inch rear ends. They didn’t come out with the 8.2 until 2010. 2006-2009 are 8 inch rear ends. Almost bought a 2009 then found out it’s an 8 inch.

Great that everything turn out for you. 14.2 no matter if I am doing 65 or idling at a red light.

Salsita, I got the NAPA 060878 Micro-V Belt it is a 1/2 shorter and it fits fine. I'm getting 14.2 volts. Good luck Larry

If oil lead is coming out the front of the valve cover and not the rear or side . You most likely have a cam seal out. Just had my 2005 replaced at Toyota due to shade tree mechanics in my area. labor was $1113.99 parts was $174.48 . Hope you have a good mechanic you know and trust.
