COMPILED - 80 Series Seat Swap Thread

I was looking at some 2023 BMW seats that had heat/cool/power etc. Anyone have any experience with putting BMW seats that new in an 80 and retaining the functionality?

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

For me it was like $250. Cheaper if you take the cluster to him, but its my daily so I couldn't be down that long.

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

You can do either option. I kept telling myself i would take it out and drop the cluster off to him, but after a year of NOT doing that, i finally just made an appointment and dropped the whole car off. He had it just for the day.

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

Hey all, so over a year later, I finally got my LX into the local shop in Whittier mentioned in previous replies. He had my car for a day and fixed my speedometer that would either not work, or sit at 20MPH at a stop. Great guy and would recommend. His info is below: Speedo Check in Whittier...

    80 Series Victory Roof Rack

I was trying to get one through their website direct and looking at local listings (on a hope and prayer). They are back ordered. I messaged them through their website and to their account on mud, but never got a response.

    80 Series Victory Roof Rack

I havent ruled out a prinsu. Mostly wasnt leading towards them because of that scuttlebutt about the mounts. What was your remedy?

    80 Series Victory Roof Rack

Hey all, I have been trying to snag a Bowfin roof rack and have not been having any luck, but I stumbled on Victory 4x4 roof rack for the 80 series. Has anyone installed this roof rack? Thoughts? Pics? I didn't see anything in the forums so not sure if its because the rack is bad or because its...

I haven't been able to take my cluster out yet since it's my daily. Hoping to soon though. Just some other projects came up in the past few weeks.

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

I drove my lx470 down there and parked it in front of his door and told him all about it. He made a comment about only repairing one gauge when I asked for price so it makes me think he can do the stepper motor repair on other gauges too. My other ones are fine right now so I didn't go into that...

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

All good news! I finally got to the shop today and met the guy there and he said he can fix the stepper motor/gauge. He said he has repaired the LX and LC before and said they are a little bit involved but has done them before and has all of the parts. He told me its $150 to fix if i bring the...

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

Thanks! That's down the street from my office. I've actually taken my 80 series to him to adjust for bigger tires (which I still need to have him actually do the work). Lol. I'll try to bring my Lexus to him sometime this week and report back if he can do the fix!

    Speedometer wont go to zero

Thanks, BnvS and jLB. Haven't driven it in the dirt since I just bought the car in November, but it isn't to say that the PO didn't take it. I'll try the ABS sensors first. Still sourcing stepper motor repairs. Sounds like for the Lexus, the only option is to rebuild them which I have no clue...

2004 Land Cruiser Gauge Cluster FIXED! How-To

Tacking on here too. I've messaged Tanin and the ebay store (in Australia) previously mentioned. I can pull the stepper motor out, anyone know of a source or repair shop in SoCal that could rebuild the motor or rebuild the gauge cluster locally here?
