Checked out the hub to rotor bolts this weekend and they are snug. But to my surprise, the adjustment nut on both Ds and Ps were finger tight!
Thanks to the information provided by forum members here it was a simple correction.
Not good. Fortunately I had a spare.
Some visible scoring...
It certainly has. On the passenger side one of the hub bolts is staked. Hopefully this isn't because they stripped the hub.
Sounds like half my Saturday is spoken for...
While rotating my tires I noticed that one of the hub to rotor bolts was not at an identical depth as the others. I marked it with a paint pen so when I address it this weekend I can see if it rotated.

Have you called Dan's Toy shop in Tucson? They only service Toyota. They worked on my 99 Lx470's transfer case and can give you an accurate assessment of the work required.

Do a search for valve cover leaks and see if the posted photos...

Cleaned and adjusted the hand brake, applied the anti squeal goo to the back of the pads and they've been effective and uneventful...
I've been driving my '99 LX470 a lot lately. It runs great, and the family enjoys going on adventures in it. When I say "a lot" it's subjective, and in this case maybe 700 miles in the last 3 weeks. Total mileage on the vehicle is 210200.
Here in AZ the temps have touched 80 a few times...
