I found some other coolant related parts to replace: the heater tees and related hoses. Part # 87209-60C01 and 87209-60C12
I’m still looking for a diagram of all the coolant bypass hoses.
Do you have to let the coolant out to replace the starter? It looks like that comes out the passenger side wheel well. I’m only trying to avoid taking the same area apart multiple times within a couple-few years.
My 2013 LC is coming up on 135k. Something is leaking coolant, and I think it’s the bottom of the radiator. My water pump is weeping a little too. I’m planning to replace:
Water pump, idler+tensioner, belt, all radiator hoses, and the radiator itself. Should I throw in a thermostat while I’m at...
Bud built doesn't work with dif drops. I took my diff drop off to use the BB aluminum set. The guy I talked to on the phone convinced me that the drop isn't necessary.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with my rear bumper. I have a steel bracket/aluminum shell bumper from RLC on there currently. I cut too much bumper cover when I was installing it, so it doesn't look great. I like that it's really light and out of the way. I'm not impressed with the wing...
I am doing a very tedious chore: taking down my skid plates and pressure washing all the mud off the truck. I also took off my front bumper, wheels, and a few plastic pieces around the wheel wells to find all the hidden mud reservoirs. This has to be like 200 pounds of dirt.
Depends on which car we're talking about. In 2012 I bought an 84 Mercedes 300d that I intend to own for the rest of my life. In 2018 I bought an '09 ranger that I used to commute while I rebuilt the engine in the Mercedes. I sold the ranger in 2020 right afyer I bought a 2013 land cruiser. I'm...
So what’s the best fix for this that we know of? I have the CEL+flashing 4LO+trac off. If I throw a new carbon canister in there, will I just ruin it the next time I go off-roading? I ordered a MX+ code scanner so I can just clear the codes when it’s time to off road and I can get into 4 low...
I'm anti snorkel for these reasons:
Moving water that deep poses a big risk of washing the truck downstream,
The intake location is probably not the limiting factor of the fording depth set by Mr. T. If the water is deeper than 700 mm, I'm turning around.
Air filters are cheap. If it gets dirty...
I got rid of my roof rack. These are from a 2013 Land Cruiser. I know some of you like putting stuff on top of the truck. I saved the two cross bars in case someone wants them. Not willing to ship (too lazy/busy). Pick up in 80218 near Cheesman Park.
I got rid of my roof rack. I've had the 2013 LC for about 18 months now, and I never even considered putting something on the roof. My fuel efficiency will be better now.
What are those cross bars going for?
I got rid of my roof rack on my 2013 land cruiser. I mostly did what this video said:
The guy in the video says you need to buy some shorter bolts:

I noticed in his video that the bolts coming out of the rack towers...
