Perfect example of the Grom inconsistent behavior. This works fine on my 2011 LX.

My frustration with Grom overall is that I don't have any of the issues you experienced, I have others, and that all adds up to how unreliable and unpredictable it is.

And yet people keep buying it. As mentioned, I can manage it without losing my mind by just using Carplay, and as mentioned above, I'm the only driver. so the frustration doesn't get magnified across multiple family members.

I installed the Grom VLine this morning. Overall, it wasn't bad. I did all the updates after the installation and no glaring issues as of now. I have sound, no line through the screen, etc. I'll report back after a day or so of use.
