I've only done coolant drain and fills because I'm nervous about opening the block drains for the first time in 13 years and 200k+ miles later. Also just replaced the radiator with a new OEM unit. Isn't there an OEM aluminum option...

Thought folks may like to see a teardown of the OEM radiator. This is a 13 year old, 250k mile original unit that was close to borrowed time. I would say the replacement could probably determined by checking the upper fitting to see if it turned brown yet. No leaks anywhere, even the o-rings...

Just finished a radiator swap. Original OEM lasted 13 years and 250k miles and still hadn't failed. Ordered OEM 16400-38290 and both hoses 16571-38101 and 16572-38151. Total was $300 from Bell Lexus during one of their sales (they're great)! The new radiator also says Toyota Japan on it. I...

Will keep that in mind should I pick up a raspy sound. Again, great fix! I see Rockauto sells Aisin branded, as well as the Hayden and Four Seasons that clearly say Aisin in the photos. Good stuff. If you decide to take the old one apart, please let us know what you find!

Fantastic! Good to know about the budget Aisin replacement. I really wouldn't have bet on it being the fan clutch. Can you feel a difference comparing them side by side?
