Reseal Valley Plate Leak - Alternator Replacement Costs

I guess I should cross my fingers at 250k and no leak... but should it arise I'll tackle it based on what others here have shared.

Bell lexus discount + free shipping

Ok, good to know that Chatham are drop shipping and could be faster. I usually have Bell parts by FedEx within a week even with their time to order in. Yes, I shared a second example (rear glass strut) incase the fob is a special case.

Bell lexus discount + free shipping

Figures I just put in an order two days before the Lexus 20% off! I just tried it. Really seems to depend on the part? For 89904-60590 Fob The Chatham lexus discount is +20% or 35% total. Bell Lexus right now is +20%, or 35% total. For 68930-0W020 rear strut, Bell is 40% and Chatham 41%...

How do these spark plugs look after 109k?

Regarding the plugs, interestingly my #1 (Right rear?) also showed some corrosion on the threads and was very difficult to remove. The others were all easy. FWIW I pulled the original plugs at 250k miles and they looked about the same as yours AND were in spec. I don't think the platinum and...

    Change your coolant!

I've only done coolant drain and fills because I'm nervous about opening the block drains for the first time in 13 years and 200k+ miles later. Also just replaced the radiator with a new OEM unit. Isn't there an OEM aluminum option...

    HID headlight bulb recommendation

Oh! Good timing on the post and I have very relevant feedback. I just recently replaced the original HID bulbs in my high mile 2011. Wow, the lighting is like a brand new car! I was trying to find an exact review for someone who was replacing original old bulbs before committing to the cost...

    OEM Radiator Disassembly

That's what I wondered about as well and wanted to see. I wonder if the purpose is more about heating or cooling the AT fluid...

    OEM Radiator Disassembly

Thought folks may like to see a teardown of the OEM radiator. This is a 13 year old, 250k mile original unit that was close to borrowed time. I would say the replacement could probably determined by checking the upper fitting to see if it turned brown yet. No leaks anywhere, even the o-rings...

    New 2011 GX Owner

Just finished a radiator swap. Original OEM lasted 13 years and 250k miles and still hadn't failed. Ordered OEM 16400-38290 and both hoses 16571-38101 and 16572-38151. Total was $300 from Bell Lexus during one of their sales (they're great)! The new radiator also says Toyota Japan on it. I...

GX460 P2714 P0761 Ultimate Summary and Hope For A Fix Thread

Well, if it didn't grind anything up you could definitely re-use the WS. I would also recommend Idemitsu TLS-LV fluid from Rockauto, way less expensive. 2011 LEXUS GX460 4.6L V8 Transmission Fluid | RockAuto - https://www.rockauto.com/?carcode=1446871&parttype=11387

OP fixed the issue in comment #8. Next time try reading a few more posts in :)

Raspy / bearing whine at 2000ish rpm

Will keep that in mind should I pick up a raspy sound. Again, great fix! I see Rockauto sells Aisin branded, as well as the Hayden and Four Seasons that clearly say Aisin in the photos. Good stuff. If you decide to take the old one apart, please let us know what you find!

Raspy / bearing whine at 2000ish rpm

Fantastic! Good to know about the budget Aisin replacement. I really wouldn't have bet on it being the fan clutch. Can you feel a difference comparing them side by side?
