Oh snap, you guys were film dorks this whole time and never said anything?

Yes. That's a Sekonic L-758c (c stands for “crap, that was the expensive one"). As @K Dub correctly stated, fps doesn’t matter in this case as I was measuring absolute value, but I was measuring lux, not lumens. Lux is a function of intensity over area and takes into account real-world factors like LED emitter placement, lens clarity, etc. I measured with the dome down at the exact same incident angle and placement relative to the source for an accurate comparison. I could have used foot candles, but no one except film dorks know what those are. lumens can only be measured in a lab and even then it's not that accurate unless you're doing it at CERN.... which is why light manufacturers always measure in lumens.... so they can bull**** you.

And no, I don’t care about my craft when Im making camping videos, just craft beers. I make slightly less s***ty videos in my side hustle, producing commercials, but you guys don't care. You're more interested in busting my bulbs 😆
I like your Lux, but I'm more of a Nit man myself. Now, a good classic Candela is a nice change of pace, but the F Stops somewhere eventually.

Oh! Good timing on the post and I have very relevant feedback.
I just recently replaced the original HID bulbs in my high mile 2011. Wow, the lighting is like a brand new car! I was trying to find an exact review for someone who was replacing original old bulbs before committing to the cost but it was 100% worth it.

I'd stay away from Amazon at the very real risk of fakes.
I bought a pair of these exact bulbs from HID Concept. Very nicely packed.

They have a few D4S options. The most popular seem to be these Osram night breaker or the Philips XtremeVision.
The Osram were a bit less expensive, Made in Germany (as the Philips are), and I liked the 4300K tint option because there is less light output as the color is cooled. I'm sure they are both great choices.

The Osram come in a nice hard plastic case and not flopping around in individual paper boxes in a bubble mailer from Amazon.

Don't get anything cheap or 3rd party, go with the good stuff.

I also replaced the high beam bulbs with 9011's. New bulbs and brighter than the 9005.
To be specific, Toshiba HIR1 9011's from eBay, but any 9011 will be a nice improvement.
