Hi All, I'd like to tag on to this conversation...does anyone know the part number for this center cupholder assembly? All the diagrams I can find do not show my version that has the weird floppy cup holder. For me, the latch addressed in this thread is not broken, but the latch that holds the...
I've had a check engine speed sensor code since doing the nav delete, P0500 if I recall. Would be very interested to know if you have the same. It makes the cruise control not work. I have done some troubleshooting but have given up temporarily. There was a speed wire connected to the old...
Nevermind. I found another fuse blown I think due to my bonehead move of cutting off one of the unused connectors. The fuse was the ECU-B down at the driver's kick panel. Now my brights and cruise work fine. Sorry to clog the thread.
Hi again everyone. Since doing the nav delete on my 02 LX470, I have noticed two issues. 1-cruise control no longer works. When I turn it on, the word “CRUISE” appears in the instrument cluster but when I push the Set button, nothing happens. And 2- when I have the headlights on, they are...
One last pointer...after everything was working but before buttoning it all up, I cut off the old unused connectors. Whatever you do, don't cut all the wires at once in one big bundle. Rookie mistake, I know. There are still some hot wires in there, and you will blow fuses, maybe multiple...
The nav-delete was easy and I am sooo glad I did it. Follow the spreadsheet and label all the connectors (original and replacement) with their letter designations prior to making any cuts. Make check marks on your printed spreadsheet as you go. There are a couple of good videos previously in...
I did this conversion a couple of weeks ago and was slightly confused at this point too. I didn't go back and check your wire/pin assignments, but your assumptions are correct. You will end up with one connection with three wires and another with four wires. In theory, all these could be in...
Thanks. I will give the TYTO a shot. I am not sure what you mean about duplicating myself though. Do you mean buying a TYTO in order to reverse engineer my own harness? I wish I could find pinouts for these (as well as stock 20 pin connector). Thanks.
The TYTO is for a JBL amp as you mention but I have a Mark Levinson amp. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. So, from my understanding, the 8113 should work. But then again, it is not working. LOL. Any other ideas? Thanks. -Matt
Hello Everyone. I have finished the nav-delete on my 02 LX470 with nav and now am trying to install the new head unit (Pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX). My intention is to continue to use the ML amp and stock speakers. I am using the Metra 70-8113 harness. After making all the connections, I get power...
I did the nav-delete and replaced my 02 LX unit with an LX heater controller unit (meaning I did not install a LC three knob style controller). Everything seems to work at first glance except the windshield defrost button. But I did hold it for about 20 seconds and then it fired up and the...
@BillZ260 - When you did the nav-delete, did you just install the pigtails and then connect them to you Tesla system? Or did you procure the replacement controller and not use it? Except maybe for testing? I am just wondering because my main reason for seeking out this thread was to figure...
Has anyone tried this "nav delete" method in an effort to make the system compatible with the "Tesla Style" head units that are available? The problem is that the Tesla Style head unit is not compatible with the 02 LX470 that has nav built-in. So, I thought it may be feasible to convert it to...
ZDash - I have the same model LX (2002 Nav+HVAC touchscreen) as you. And your post was beautiful. I just wish I would have found it before spending the last few days researching. I received similar messages from pretty much the same stores you contacted. I am interested to hear if you heard...
