And then I reached out to him here and got all the details.
And despite the lack of posts, I was busy getting parts to the blaster and prepping them. I just didn’t want to bore anyone with random shots of parts with gray primer.
I also found a photo of my ‘40 around the time I had bought it.
And I also found a photo of an ‘85 FJ60 I had for a couple of years. I kick myself everyday for selling it because it was damn near perfect.
Thread revival, it’s only been a year. I dropped the body off at the blaster this morning. I had finally got my metal fixed using panels from CCOT and Real Steel.
Since this was on my to do list, here it is.
1975 original
Turn ket to acc, push in pin and pull out assembly.
New locks from City Racer.
Turn key to acc and push in.
Done.
My top is a ‘75 (I think 🤔). It’s measuring 26 3/4 inches from the top to the piece that rests on the tub. Yours mounting does looks different than mine.
The Cruiser Teq site offered two kits for my 6/75 carb, one of which was more comprehensive, and neither of which had the base gaskets.
Got my base gaskets from City Racer.
