No same spot as yours I drilled the tstat housing and put an aftermarket gauge.

The aftermarket gauge the temp prong it's too long that's why I did it at the front.

Just at home, I like the brush on stuff instead of spray cans as it's too thin, the brush one it's so thick it feels like powder coated. Did my jeep frame and roll cage with it as well. Thank you
