On the floor of my truck is some type of fuzzy insulation material applied by a previous owner. It is glued on and very difficult to remove.

Any suggestions for removing it? I could use a wire wheel and repaint the floor but looking for a solution that avoids having to paint it (eventually will have to repaint the cab and floor but not looking to do that right now).

Thank you!

there should be a chemical that will soften glue and then use a plastic putty knife or plastic scraper

A hand held steamer can also work wonders in certain cases - it is always my first attempt in situations like yours. If that doesn’t work, goof off adhesive removal usually does the trick
