A buddy and myself did similar on ours. In my arb, we re-enforced the stock tabs with 1/2” plate, tied back to the frame horns on the outside plate. Buddy bought 3/4” x 10” (maybe 8”…) tabs and cut into the flat face of the bumper on the inside of stock tab plate, tied to the top of the frame...

Absolutely happy and would do it again. Not much I would do different.

Yeah, I told him the winch is the best part of his rig. :( I'll let you know if he decides to part it out and scrap the rest, which maybe soon. Just sad to see a piece of history go that route.

Update: Damn this hole design is crappy! lol. Right now I have not figured out a way to make it work and look reasonable at the same time. The blank is the same width as the normal switch size, and about 4 mil deeper at the tab point... about 1 mil deeper bottom lip.. and the rake along with the...

The ashtray replacement I have can mount a RAM ball (has two 1/4" bolt holes). However, It might need some re-work for strength as I didnt plan on it for this use. I have not tried it though, as the cupholder/blank is where I have mine. Will look into it.
