I had my BEB changed when I first got the truck at 110k km. I'm now at 360k km and I get UOA done at 20k km. I haven't seen any changes to the UOA that indicates I need to replace the BEB again so far.
My truck is a 1994 HDJ81, so these valves close the wrong direction for my truck. I think these work with the earlier HDJ's and maybe other 80s too...? Supplier info showed them closing the other way which was supposed to work for me.
Anyway, free to anyone local who wants to pick them up...
I believe @ZCissner is running an Eclipse manifold on a 1HDT. Maybe he can chime in on the fitment of the Eclipse square port manifold to round head ports on the 1HDT. Which manifold gasket was used? Square or round?
I'm interested as well since I have an Eclipse manifold sitting here...
I tried the Toyota washable on my HDJ81. I felt after I had cleaned it off a few times it may not have been as clean as I wanted, so I went back to the disposable. There's no way you are going to get stuff out from between all the pleats. It just didn't seem worth the effort to try and keep...
It CAN vary between provinces, but generally doesn't. I think for Quebec RHD needs to be 25 years old. If it's LHD, Quebecer's can import at 15 years....I believe...
When this was happening on my truck I was told the brushes in the alternator were getting worn. It was still working, but it's getting tired. I had a replacement alternator installed and no longer had the delay in the lights going out.
It is definitely a good idea to go into a purchase understanding the potential risks and not maxing out your budget so you have finances to do repairs that will inevitably come up; however, once you have the truck baselined, purchase some extra parts and plan out when you will do maintenance...
That's correct. Measurement is without the driver, so it's probably about even with just the driver.
I also meant to comment that I think that hole in your dash above the radio is for the factory pop out cup holder. I'm not 100% sure since I have the older style dash in my HDJ81, but I think...
I have a Dobinsons 3" kit on my 1994 HDJ81 and I had the same lean you're seeing. I put a 10mm spacer on the front right and a 30mm spacer on the right rear and it's pretty close to being even now. I think my front right is 5mm higher than the left or something like that. You could maybe get...

We always have to pay more north of the border, but this place seems to have a bit of a discount compared to other Canadian dealer prices. I just bought a new driveshaft from them and saved some money over buying from my local dealer.
Blackhawk radius arms installed yesterday. The install actually went quicker than I thought it might. I think I was about 2.5 hours including cleanup and everything. The bushings at the frame mount location were definitely toast, but the Dobinsons 2.5 degree correction bushings still look...
Depending on the year of your truck and the shape of the plug for the alternator, you can find an alternator from a Tercel from about the same age:

I made my own pod as well.
I have EGT up on the dash though for easy quick viewing. I think I'll be making a pillar pod for the EGT gauge rather than a sicky mount to the dash. You could make one for on top of the steering column if you can't have it above the top of the dash.
I have an...
