When I was looking for my 12ht stuff, "engines Australia" kept coming up as a kit supplier

I ended doing it kinda piecemeal. Partsouq had a factory gasket set that was surprisingly reasonable.
I'll spend a bit of time looking at what Partsouq has to offer. Never ordered from them.

They're pretty good.

Site is pretty slick for digging up part numbers on the old junk if nothing else. Half the time I use them to look up a number so I can search it on the rest of the interwebs.

This is that engine Australia site. They probably sell a full kit, but you have to contact for quotes etc.

Did the PartSouq thing on this partial 1HDT refresh. I'll have a look at the Aussie site and compare.

The only complaint I've ever had with partsouq is if you order 10 things, and it turns out one isn't in stock they'll send the other 9. So if that one thing was supposed to match with something else you ordered you're stuck.

In my case it was a clutch disc and pressure plate. Had to get mix and match brands.

Apparently it didn't matter, it's been years and I don't even remember which truck it was 🤣

There's also the slight issue of falling bombs these days. Not sure how that affects them. 😔

You can also check Amayama. They ship out of both Japan and UAE. I prefer them over Partsouq. Placing an order is a bit cumbersome, and can take a while to collect parts in Japan before shipping, but I don't think I've ever had just a partial order.

It works a bit different though at Amayama. You put in an order with your parts and it has an estimated shipping cost (it is usually increased at final order). After "placing the order" they go and confirm parts availability and finalize the shipping cost. You have to confirm the final order and shipping cost and make payment. Then they start collecting parts. Most of the time this hasn't taken too long, but I had one larger order that did take a while to collect on the Japan side before it shipped out.

I prefer amayama over megazip too. Seems like shipping is more reasonable.

Half the time it seems like I have to use more than one shop to get everything.

Also, for generic s*** online auto parts in aus are pretty good. Their knuckle kits were the cheapest around by a long shot last time I did them. Tcase kits too.

Unverified but I read that Engines Australia has a dealer in Canada and prices could take a leap. I’ve had some actual pushback from a couple of production companies in Australia that told me to go thru the ‘dealers’. So the $3K product was now kindly available thru the local dealer for only $9600. Just a heads up.

Ordered May 27th, arrived today. Seawings was great for over border stuff, but didn’t even get out of my pyjamas to go to the airport for duty/customs, DHL to my door. Slick!

Just an FYI when ordering. My card was compromised, now waiting for a new one, awesome!!! Whether it was the site, or PayPal, someone had their way with my card with over a dozen purchases and the bank didn't appreciate it i guess. So you know.
Some of the credit cards are providing secondary numbers for online purchases. That way you can lock them when not in use and if the number is compromised you don’t have to get a new one.

I think I use PayPal. Costs more, but no problems.
Yeah. I hold my nose and use them too.

I'm a bit leery of filling out those credit card boxes online for new places.

Mine went on a Paris shopping spree without me once. Bought the ugliest shoes I've ever seen.. it was embarrassing.

If you're gonna steal my cc info do something cool with it FFS.🤣
