    Seat recovering

Welcome to 'Mud! This topic gets covered off and on. There are a handful of threads worth going through. Also, 'mud's search function kind sucks. You're better off using Google, e.g. "leather seats 100 series ih8mud" to find threads in this forum. Here are a couple recent (ish) threads - but...

Lx470 VVTi misfires on startup, random stalling during low throttle

A few years ago, I had a somewhat similar issue. The 100 ran normally. I parked it. An hour later, I went to start it and it sputtered, coughed, started - ran rough - rougher at low RPM, stalled... kept doing this. I called my buddy Dugan who happens to own ACC Garage - a Land Cruiser shop. He...

    Another Leather Option?

I'm having Tony's Upholstery do the seats. It's a family business in Norcross. Tony did the seats in my '84 Pickup and crushed it.

    Another Leather Option?

I like(d) the idea of a kit. I talked with the upholstery shop owner about them, and they do install them - no hate for the kits. But for the extra few hundred bucks (front and middle rows, arm rests, center console) and knowing it'll be perfect, it was worth it to me to go the custom route.

    Another Leather Option?

As of 3 days ago, I'm back on this. I'm going with a local upholstery shop - they did my '84 Pickup and did a great job - to do the front two rows, arm rests, etc. custom (not a kit). I'm scheduling it today, hoping to get on their schedule in the next two weeks. I'm also going to have them...

    Noobie intro thread

The GROM does everything - Apple CarPlay, keeps the terrestrial radio stations, retains that 120p resolution screen. The only problem with the GROM is it's STILL glitchy. They shoot out updates (a lot) to fix glitches. But it's still glitchy... really glitchy.

Which UCA Do We Like This Year; 2025 Edition

I got SPCs when they were cool. That was 100,000 miles ago. I wouldn't complain if they were great until now; they've kinda sucked most of the time - transitioning from squeaky to bangy (sorry for the technical terms). What's everyone liking these day?

    Odd Transmission Behavior

2006; 197k, last fluid and filter at 180k Yesterday morning headed out, truck was cold (well as cold as a truck can be in Atlanta in July) and... - Backed out of the driveway, stopped, shifted to D, pushed the throttle... and went nowhere. Just revs - I shifted to N then to D and started to go...

CarPlay and Android Auto installation into Toyota Land Cruiser 2004-2007 GROM VLine

This week's glitch: At startup, the system doesn't connect, it tries, then crashes, restarts, tries to connect - doesn't, then crashes, restarts, tries to connect - doesn't, then crashes, restarts, tries to connect - doesn't, then crashes, restarts, tries to connect - doesn't... Yeah, it just...

Builds 86 Xtra Cab Build (4Wheelunderground 3 link front, 4 link rear and 3.4 swap)

I really like where you're heading with the design. I like the 2nd version also. But, I've only done a handful of cages. My general view has been: It will not be the absolute safest it can be... but it will be exponentially safer no cage. The right materials, mounting to the frame where...

Builds 86 Xtra Cab Build (4Wheelunderground 3 link front, 4 link rear and 3.4 swap)

@littlevulture I had a similar setup on a Jeep - a bike brake lever, on the trans shifter, as a hand throttle. It worked well for that poorly thought out build - a V8 with a lumpy cam and difs that needed to be regeared. For some reason, I burned up a few clutches in that Jeep.
