Today we just crossed into Northern Cyprus by ferry from Turkey. Little Internet and still a fair bit of work to this week.
I will continue the Japan saga a bit later.
Soooo, what happened in the days before we see our friend Masa with a big hammer attacking our bumper?
After spending some time with our friends we were all invited for a little Land Cruiser meetup nearby.
"Let me drive." Masa asked.
I never have let someone else drive our truck, but having...
- Masa with a big hammer, correcting his wrongs [you won't believe the story, I will tell you tomorrow]
- 10 year old Masaya shows us his excellent skills with pencils on paper.
- We are sooooo lucky...
Can you guess what caused picture one to happen?
- Making Soba noodles
- Eatig Soba noodles
- Driving around the fabulous small roads of ***ushima island.
- Masa, Yusko and Masaya invited us for dinner.
During colder periods, make sure your oil is thin enough and that all 4 glowplugs are indeed working. Check continuity with a multi meter.
We had -40C in Siberia and we had trouble starting. Then we found 2 dead glowplugs and the oil a bit too thick. I made a small video about that. I will drop...
It all depends on what you want from the engine. We have been driving around the world now since 2003 and our 3B engine has never let us down. The most reliable part of the whole truck is the engine.
- Masa and his 10 year old son Masaya are the only people who speak English on the event weekend. They ask us if we want to visit them after the event and learn how to make soba noodles.
What do you think our response was..???
Tomorrow the answer...
Adventurous greetings, Coen.
- Taking the ferry from South Korea [Busan] to Japan [***uoka]
- Our visit coincides with a yearly festival [november]
- Ninja camping at the beach.
- We hadn't figured out how to use Google Translate [no sim cards in Japan only 1 hour wifi at the 7eleven]
- 40km/h speed limits in urban areas...
Tomorrow I will tell you about Japan! When the Land Cruiser returned to its place of birth!
Should I keep images just related to vehicles, or can I color and spice it up with adventure and culture?
- Meeting lots of nice local people
- We concluded that (in comparison to South America) Off Roads are hard to find in South Korea, so we decided to park the car and make some big hikes.
- Resulting in hiking the complete length of the country over a ridge trail -> 740K with our backpacks and a...
Okay, I see that the last issues [that is when I come here ;-)] I commented on here was in 2014 in Peru, with the diesel sedimenter. (we have replaced that thing in Japan! But I will come to that a bit later)
I will fast forward a bit quicker. So basically we shipped the Land Cruiser in 2016...
I think that at the moment the pictures were posted, the iH8mud forum didn't allow for image uploads, and probably those images were referenced to FB (is my guess).
