Pretty sure this is the definitive thread on the subject. I ended up wrapping my tank and gas lines with insulation with some success. Still have boiling gas during the summer at higher altitudes.
Okay good to know. Mine is going full gremlin. When it doesn't retract when I get out of the driver side, I discovered that I get out, open the passenger door and then it retracts. Did you do the install of the motor?

FWIW I went with recovery points like these. They just barely get below the stock bumper. I haven't had to use them, and assume that when I do, an after market bumper will be imminent.
