Radiator caps - OEM vs Aftermarket?

Hey Mudders - Feel free to tell me I'm overthinking this, it's actually what I'm hoping for! Before a camping trip last weekend I popped the hood on my 2014 and noticed the coolant reservoir was empty. Then I did what any reasonable Land Cruiser owner would do and searched this forum and...

    Any down side to airbags?

I've been running Firestone airbags, stock coils, stock dampers, and stock weight for about 4 years now with E rated tires. I consider the airbags indispensable, and not just for towing. Before the airbags, it was not uncommon for me to have 4-6 people along with enough camping gear to feel...

Will frozen wipers do damage when wipers set to Auto?

Thanks guys. I'm hoping there's some sort of overload protection, but will try to be diligent about turning them "off" instead of "auto".

Will frozen wipers do damage when wipers set to Auto?

Had a thing happen today that got me thinking....wife drove the Land Cruiser yesterday and left the wipers on Auto. All fine with that except we had a storm come through and drop 6" of snow last night and froze the wipers to the windshield. I went to get ready to depart this morning and...

    Hitch mounted bike rack

Here's another vote for the Kuat NV. I've had mine for about 3 years. The LC tailgate clears with no issue with the rack in it's deployed or tilted rearward position (with bikes tilted back only). I regularly ride and do trips with folks who have the 1up so I feel qualified to give an...

What’s the easiest way to level a 200 LC?

@NautiqueGuy - I recently went through exactly what you are trying to do. I ended up with the Toyota spacers, installed by me in my driveway. Took about 4 hours, but I think I could have it done in 2-3 hours now that I've done it once. After running them for a week with the OE tires, I could...

200 Series Tire and Wheel Size Database

New tires! Yesterday I had 275/70r18 BFGoodrich KO2's installed on my 2014 LC. Only mod is the Toyota leveling spacers. So far no rubbing, but have not been offroad yet. Will post back if I ever find rubbing. Just for the record - Discount Tire will price match and even beat Tire Rack's...

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

All within the last week I've installed Toyota leveling spacers and had 275/70r18 BFG KO2's installed. Loving the look so far, but only have about 12 miles on it since the change.

Strut spacer install: tools needed, q’s

Don’t think so. This is the thread I referred to for my install, thought I’d post about my experience for others who may search for their answer.

Strut spacer install: tools needed, q’s

    Also- sockets needed were 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 22mm, and 24mm.

Strut spacer install: tools needed, q’s

I just got through installing the spacers on my 2014 LC. Rented a torque wrench from Autozone (free!) and it took me about 3.5 hrs from start to finish working in my gravel driveway with no power tools, which I cannot recommend. One lesson learned that may help others out: On the passenger...

Is something wrong with my rear suspension?

@alexchoksm Thanks for the info! Very interesting, indeed. Did you measure any static sagging in the rear before changing springs?

    Ride height question

I actually just measured my completely stock 2014 LC with 28000 miles last week. The suspension on a stock Land Cruiser is so cushy that the static height difference really changes by a lot based on where you are parked. I took three sets of measurements in three different locations and...

    200 Series Ti key shell

My 2014 LC uses the HYQ14AEM, identical to the photos from gaijin, above. Both of mine are pretty beat up, would be interested in this if the backup key stores inside the case like OEM and it would also be cool if the keyring attached to the body, not the backup key for reasons stated above.
